it's perverse that when it comes to corruption, lying, and general criminality, there is far more evidence to level charges against trump, in fact enough to make actual charges by real prosecutors. Of course by the evidentiary standard applied to make accusations against Hilary Clinton Trump is a fraudster, rapist, racist, misogynist, and utterly politically corrupt.

Yes, but there's so much evidence against Trump. There's no sign of a cover-up. And as we all know it's always about the cover-up. The first derivative of fact, as we philosophers refer to it.

Right at the beginning of the Trump ... incident I heard a supporter's words which will, I think, stay with me forever : "He speaks his mind. Right or wrong, it is what it is."

Right or wrong, it is what it is. When I'd thought about it long enough I thanked Providence for the Atlantic Ocean and the way it gets a bit wider every day.

Anyhoo, Clinton : if she wasn't evil how would she have got away with all her evil, eh? Stands to reason. As for her sexually harrassing that guy in Benghazi, when do you ever hear about that?

The thing is, I'm waiting for someone to call her out on the math. Trump "supporters" is a smaller demographic than Trump "voters". There's a good ten per cent in there, thinking conservatives like yourself, say, who are likely to vote for him because he's Not A Democrat. Those aren't supporters; they're reluctant voters.

So that would leave us with the roughly 32% of his voters who are actual "supporters". And the lady only singled out "about half" of them. Sounds like a low estimate to me.

It's pathetic the poutrage that the Right is having because of Hillary's comment. A year of campaigning and she say something "offensive" to Trump supporters. Meanwhile, it's okay for Trump to say offensive crap every day.

It's called "hammering the point home for emphasis". The realization is that in the first go-round all the Deplorables will go, "Huh? She speaking about you? Must be. I'm not deplorable." Then on day two, a few of them will begin to get it. "Whoa! Wait! She's saying I'm deplorable? Just because I ooze hate from every pore of my body?"
