I think calling Trump a Fuhrer is a bit over the top. Trump may have the ego and lick-spittle followers Hitler had, but he doesn't have the leadership or organizational skills that Hitler possessed. He also lacks Hitler's attention span and work ethic. Remember, Hitler wrote his OWN book. He didn't need a ghost writer.
I think Trump is better compared to some of the hotheads who founded the NAZI party and were subsequently murdered by Hitler's supporters in the "Night of Long Knives." Trump may help the next Hitler rise to power, but he'll end up regretting it.
Not really, he didn't. Men Kampf was dictated to Rudolf Hess who edited the book while Hitler was in prison for the beer hall putsch. The book is atrocious and poorly written still. In many ways the book does remind me of Trump. It's mostly a series of rants by Hitler.
But I do agree it's probably unfair to compare Trump to Der Fuhrer. Hell, it's probably unfair to compare Hitler while he was running in 1932 to Der Fuhrer. What I find most atrocious about Trump isn't his racism or sexism, but his total lack of respect for democracy and checks and balances.
