So what is that entire definition then?
I didn't say you were.
Then why didn't you vote "Atheist type A – I neither believe nor disbelieve a god actually exists"?
One wonders at your problem . . .
Your lack of belief in a god or gods seems to me to be adequately covered by - "Atheist type A – I neither believe nor disbelieve a god actually exists".
Follow: "I do not believe in a god" isn't negatively affected by adding "nor do I disbelieve in a god". In fact if you did disbelieve in a god then you couldn't say "I simply do not believe in a god".
Wonder how many theists read that plate as "A Theist"?Is there a point to this? You know you are an atheist when you get the second vanity plate in the state:

Great poll!
Reminds me of one of my favorite songs from our youth.
Jesus loves me this I know, for the bible tells me so...
As I am actually O+ ...
"A god" can be one of thousands. If you don't believe in at least "a god" then you can't believe in thousands.Poorly formulated "poll;" some mythologies have a single god, some have a handful, some hundreds and some have thousands.
Associating two positions is not conflating them.Your "seeming" is inadequate, and does not accurately (or honestly) reflect that I simply do not believe in a 'god'; in your 'god'; nor yet in any 'gods'.
You conflate two positions.
I agree. But . . ."I do not disbelieve" is not the same as "I do not believe".
In other words, if you only or simply "do not believe" then be default you don't disbelieve either.Follow: "I do not believe in a god" isn't negatively affected by adding "nor do I disbelieve in a god". In fact if you did disbelieve in a god then you couldn't say "I simply do not believe in a god".
That's why I said "No scientific method" and “No scientific reason". By "scientific" I mean "scientific method" not "scientists".
Had you intended to subsume all of what is actually atheism (A-theism, that is, "without 'god' ") you might have included a definition of the state of actually being without a belief in 'god' (or 'gods'). As it is, the type of atheist that simply does not have a belief in 'god' (or 'gods') is not included in your options, and cannot honestly answer your poll...
My "problem" is when people confidently try to pigeonhole atheists.
This is not, after all, rocket surgery.
"♪♫Jeebas loves the Suthun Babdists,
All the Suthun Babdists of the world...
White and white and white and white,
They feel precious in his sight,
Jeebas loves the Suthun Babdists of the World!"♪♫
Wow. What was that nonsense?
That's why I felt like I got my choice of B and C, with no category left over for you folks, which is particularly unfair because it's usually the largest group.
By that argument you can't say "I know there is no Santa or Tooth Fairy" either. You can say I can't "know" that there is no god, but I can say that I know the word "god" refers to a fictional creature in a fairy tale.
I can say that I know there is no jabberwocky, so I can also say I know there is no god. The word is meaningless outside the story.
Now, now. There are black Southern Baptists. They just need to sit ----------> over there.
Funny real headline. Once a chauffeur, always a chauffeur: Southern Baptists invite black Baptist leader to drive home message on race.
By that argument you can't say "I know there is no Santa or Tooth Fairy" either.
