She didn't get him to plead guilty; the prosecutor did.
Correct! Which shows how far off base this is as an example of "win-at-all-costs". As a public defender whose client pled guilty, she lost.

And?What it means is that there are more people whose primary choice would be neither the democratic nor republican candidate than people whose primary choice is either the democratic or republican candidate. However, by the time it comes to actually voting, people will hold the belief that it's not "realistic" to vote for anyone but either the democratic or republican candidate, hence choosing to vote for either of those two candidates rather than their primary choice, and thereby creating the very conditions under which their belief of other candidates not being "realistic" comes true.
I was asking a question, not somehow claiming to include all possibilities.
Please explain what your problem with "liberal capitalism" is, and what your alternative is.
I checked turnout figures against this, seems that turnout for elections is at around 60%, so it's probably more likely that people self-identifying as independents don't vote. Which is interesting, I'd have thought that independents having internalized the claims by partisan "realists" would actually change their vote but it seems they just don't bother voting at all. It still leads to the same results of course, as those who don't vote don't get counted in anyway.
You are making a long series of claims but if you can't answer your own question then your claims are simply your assumptions and can't be based on anything factual.Hey don't blame me, it was Foolmewunz who, earlier in the thread, presented a figure of 330 million.
Can you register with a party affiliation even though you don't register to vote? If not, something's quite not adding up here.
Not in the USA nor the UK nor in....It was political orthodoxy at the time to implement the Final Solution. Therefor "Hitler for president!" because we must think of the Jews.
Are you leading into something like the argument above here?
Here:
If, in states with party registration, 30% registers as Democrat and 30% as Republican then we've already filled out our 60% turnout without even getting to the independents yet.

A tad off topic I think?I was asking a question, not somehow claiming to include all possibilities.

Her client proclaimed his innocence. The mother of the accuser pushed for the plea bargain. You still aren't able to show how this case is evidence for a ruthless, win at all costs lawyer. The subject is her tactics, not the result. And I'll bet her client thinks he won, considering the likely alternative.

What tactics did you think 1) she shouldn't have used and/or. that were outside the norm for any typical defence lawyer at the time? The subject is her tactics, not the result. And I'll bet her client thinks he won, considering the likely alternative.
lol
Provide your evidence that Stephen Hicks "descends from those who lived under some form of political system inspired by things said by Marx and Lenin".
Nice racism btw.
I could not agree with you more! I love your posts!I don't think there is anything that I despise more than the political labels "left and right" and "liberal and conservative". First off, they are moving targets. What is considered liberal today may or may not be considered liberal tomorrow. Second, it tends to entrench people on a swath of issues, many which we could resolve if the labels were not used as clubs.
Lastly, I like to consider each and every issue specifically from a best possible outcome as opposed to how it might fall on some arbitrary and often imaginary spectrum.
For example, I strongly believe in being environmentally friendly. But there is a real absurdity about requiring massively expensive environmental impact statements for buildings and construction projects in the center of a dense urban environment. It's like government is making work for the engineering consulting firms that produce them. That I want to help make construction cheaper doesn't make me right wing or anti environment.
I'm a huge believer I trying to find compromises that is best for all whenever possible.
Hillary Clinton has opened up a 10-point national lead over Donald Trump in the Quinnipiac University poll of likely voters out Thursday.
Among those likely to vote in November, Clinton grabbed 51 percent in a head-to-head matchup, while Trump earned 41 percent.
Nine in 10 voters surveyed said their minds are made up about their decision, with roughly the same share of Trump and Clinton supporters indicating that level of certainty.
