Milwaukee Riots

Who exactly is oppressing black people? Whites? Asians? Hispanics? All other races? Do the other races not face any adversity? Only blacks?

People like you.

And as you've likely noticed, it's not all that successful.

If, as you claimed, the oppression of blacks is not that successful - then how do you account for the sad state of the black community in the US? Are black people themselves responsible?

The only thing currently oppress(ing) the black community is the black community.

You must think there is a further cause, no?

Rebbe still != rabbi.

!= means "does not equal."

Jesus, if y'all really MUST argue with an obvious joke...

Are you sure that's what it means? I thought it meant "the factorial of equals" which just means really, really equals.

And Scott Walker decides to play politics:

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/vi..._hillary_clinton_inflaming_the_situation.html

Clinton's "inflammatory" comments:

"Look at what's happening in Milwaukee right now. We've got urgent work to do to rebuild trust between police and communities," Clinton said.

"And get back to the fundamental principle: Everyone should have respect for the law and be respected by the law."

Sounds to me about as innocuous a statement as you can make.

I never have had much respect for Scott Walker;now I have none.

"

How sad for them.

No, it's your husband's choice if he wants to be with you.

The fact that you're plainly wrong about black people in the US is for him to deal with.

And "people like you" are the reason why racism is making a come back, instead of going away. Congrats. I'm not wrong, you are.

Yes, the community is responsible. Just like almost all black communities through out the world, they have gone to ****. Stop blaming others.

Forgive me if I am skeptical about you claim to have an interracial marriage with sweeping comments like that.

What makes you think that racism went away for a while? Also, what makes you think it would ever "go away"?

Rebbe still != rabbi.

Yes, it does

"reb·be
ˈrebə,-bē/
nounJudaism
noun: rebbe; plural noun: rebbes

a rabbi, especially a religious leader of the Hasidic sect."

Really. I have never seen this pair of symbols used for that before your post.

Like most people, I use ≠

Jesus, if y'all really MUST argue with an obvious joke...

An "obvious" joke that I still don't get, even though I am supposed to know it is one.

Well, good on you to argue about something you don't have a single clue about.

You might be surprised. My experience with Black people is that they have at least as wide a palette of opinions and outlooks as anyone else.

Last month ,during a block party on my street , a couple neighbors and I were milling about on my front steps gossiping about other neighbors (a block-party staple) when Kyle- who is himself black- let loose with his opinion that " too many ******* are moving into the neighborhood ". Had it been a non-black neighbor who expressed that sentiment, I would likely have felt the need to challenge-or at least temper- the sentiment, but I was at a loss as to how to respond to Kyle.

Edit: the asterisks in the above paragraph are the offensive word used as an insult to black people- in case that is not completely obvious.

Yep, I've encountered multiple black people who believe whites are superior.

I've heard that it's quite a common perspective among blacks in many African nations, too.

I think the Main Problem some people have with Blacks is that they can't own one.......

Evidence?

I'm going to put you on the spot Cleon

1. What was so funny in your "joke"?

2. Explain how "rebbe" ≠ "rabbi" (apart from the obvious, of course, that they are two words for the same thing in different languages (Yiddish and Hebrew).

I didn't understand it to be any kind of indication that he thinks whites are in any way superior.
It was more like an indictment of certain members of the community who he obviously feels are able to be inferior to him while simultaneously being of the same skin tone. If he had said "too much white trash" instead of "too many *******", I would not have been offended- because (rightly or wrongly) I do not see myself as "white trash".
