CSICON Las Vegas, October 2016

Wish I could go. Loved TAM 13. Had a great time there.

Alas, that trip was really stretching my budget, and there's no chance I can afford another Vegas trip any time soon. I'm just too far away, and the flights alone cost a fortune. I just live far, far too far away from Vegas. :(

Maybe some day, but not this year.

It was nice meeting you too and a whole bunch of other interesting folks at '13. And a couple of compliments from the Amazing One Himself certainly helped my ego.

I'm open minded about CSICON right now. I have enough airline points for a flight and Vegas hotels are cheap. Now to convince my life to let me out of her sight twice in one year. :covereyes

Want to room together?

I am a survivor of all the stateside TAM's beginning in 2003. If any of you are thinking about heading to Vegas and want to split a room, let me know, as I have one reserved. I'll start a new thread to announce this to the general user community in case anyone else is interested. You could save some $ this way.

Wanted to pop in and suggest to anyone on the fence that they opt in for the Tournament of Kings dinner show. It's one of the most fun things I've ever done in Vegas; went for my birthday again the year before last and its still a really fun time.

Also: I've stayed in the Excalibur, and it's definitely not a dump. It's decent, and in a great -GREAT - location. They have a fun bar, a Bucca de Beppo, and an arcade. They're across the street from the NYNY and their roller coaster. For its walkable location, it's in a good price point. Consider it!

Hi everyone,
CSICon is trying to keep the TAM community "feel" alive. They've already asked me to help coordinate the volunteers and more importantly, have George Hrab as MC.

We could use another volunteer or three. You'll get free admission to the Halloween Party and, if the ghost of Houdini shows up at the seance, I promise he'll autograph your program in invisible ink.

Hey, Scott.

Thanks for dropping by. Good to hear CSICON wants to keep the community feel going.

I'll get in touch with you regarding volunteering again. I'll likely be up for it.

For the Costume Party: I think I would like to be a Mad Scientist of some sort. But, I am still having trouble deciding which one. Any advice or other suggestions?

Doctor Horrible is too obvious and popular, right now.
Same as Doc Brown.

I would prefer someone a little more obscure, like Dr. Clayron Forrester or Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz. But, not too obscure, like Philo from UHF.

Professor Frink would be awesome, but probably too much trouble to build a properly recognizable head.

You can mail me a check on Nov 9. On Nov 16, I start charging interest.
Don't worry. I am man of my word. If I lose the bet, I will mail the check promptly, on November 9th.

Unless there is an *unlikely* situation where the election is so close, it won't be resolved until a day or so after: Like something worse than Bush vs. Gore. But, that IS very unlikely.

Now, if you wish to discuss this further, I suggest starting a new thread.

How about the Robot Chicken mad scientist? Or Rick from Rick and Morty?
