This is pure gold:

Melania and her bio states that she arrived in USA in 1996.

Unfortunately, the nude photos published by NYP show that she was working in USA in 1995, which would make her an illegal immigrant, since she did not have a work visa at the time.

The only question is, was she paid to get her gear off for the nude shoot?

If so, she was illegal. She has already clearly lied when claiming to have arrived in '96.
 
If true she wasn't technically an illegal immigrant, she had a valid visa to be in the US but violated the terms of it. Though of course getting a visa and breaking the terms is how many (if not most) people who aren't suppose to be in the US are.
 
The plot thickens.

In an interview with Larry King Live in 2005 Melania Trump said that she had never been married before meeting Donald Trump.

But, Michael Wildes, an immigration attorney who worked for the Trump Organization, told Univision's investigative unit that she obtained a green card four years earlier in 2001, “based on marriage.”

Melania and Donald Trump were not married until Jan. 22, 2005 at Bethesda-by-the Sea Episcopal Church in Palm Beach, Florida.

When asked to explain the marriage discrepancy, Wildes said he would seek clarification, presumably from the Trump Organization. He later sent an email saying “I didn’t hear back, sorry.”

She worked illegally. The news has been careful to point that out, not to call her an illegal immigrant.

You can bet that if her first name was Consuela and she wasn't a model married to a rich guy, such a distinction wouldn't be made by any of the anti-immigrant crowd.
 
The Trump threads are multiplying and Management should try to reduce their proliferation.

The most disturbing thing in that article is the existence of "Univision's investigative unit."

Fact checking I can buy. Researchers are fine. But the UIU brings up a troubling vision of swarthy Hispanics tapping phones and parking outside of hotels with long lens cameras and tinted-window cars.

That said, someone ought to take a close look at those Trump kids. "Trump" is a political dynasty we do not want, no sir!

Oh yes. The UIU is the CIA with commercial interests attached.

Why? Many media organisations have investigative divisions? I know real investigative journalism is dying in the USA but it's not quite dead yet.

Indeed. There's no intrinsic oversight. "Making stuff up" is the cheapest investigation to run. I give you the Breitbart News Investigative Unit - three hidden cameras, no per diem, and an agenda.
