What's interesting is I thought that Romney had a good shot at winning. The guy was a successful business man. He was photogenic, well spoken, straight out of central casting.

Not sure what Trump himself will do, but this comment and his campaign is seeding the CT Right with ample mad material for years to come. I wouldn't be surprised at quite a number of small incidents of people taking potshots at government offices and similar.

What Trump has done is finally swing open the door the Republicans have made for many Americans to flee to myth, wishful thinking, and emotional reality ("people are saying") as a legitimate source of opinion. He will leave the country in much, much worse state than before this campaign, win or lose. Toxic.

No, don't get me wrong. Trump is a horrible human being. In brief clips he is hilarious. Anything longer you want to punch the prick in the face. Great for a short skit but you couldn't take a whole movie of Trump.

I believe this is strategizing. It is aimed at those not sure they want to vote for anyone at all, giving them a motive (an emotional one) to vote for Trump: if they can't have a decent candidate, at least they can vote against this 'rigged' system.

Worse than that. He -- in the form of Roger Stone -- is calling for blood in the streets if Trump loses.

Stone also said: “I think he’s gotta put them on notice that their inauguration will be a rhetorical, and when I mean civil disobedience, not violence, but it will be a bloodbath.”

To the contrary, it was not illegal in New Jersey. And in New York, it was illegal to challenge or accept a challenge to a duel, but the duel itself was not illegal.
