Back up a moment. Are you saying Hillary exposed classified information to Russian hackers, and they actually hacked her and got the information?
Because that's the only way this "espionage" narrative even starts to make sense.
Not that there's anything wrong with that.
What is it with you and sexual taboos?
Wait... do you think it's only 'espionage' to steal classified information? : confused :
Are you going for the strict legal construction, or the general use such as 'corporate espionage' or 'political espionage'? If so, your point is correct on the technical ground, but certainly sidesteps the thrust of the argument you're addressing.
You should re-read the OP. It's explicitly about espionage against the country, about stealing US secrets and classified information.
Is "political espionage" even a Federal crime? Why would the Feds investigate at all, if it's not, you know, espionage espionage?
Given that Trump is should be getting classified briefings now anyone want to place bets on when he will shoot his mouth off about them?
Trump asks a foreign Country to carry out espionage against our country for his own gain, and they did.
Comparatively, this is FAR worse than the Watergate scandal. The Feds have begun an investigation into the recent hacking, but so far have not indicated whether Trump would be part of that investigation.
Essentially, all Trump did was invite a foreign country to carry out foreign espionage against the US after he had seen that they had recently carried it out before in a way that benefited him.
It was a targeted foreign espionage strike in exactly the way that Trump had called for them to do. However, beyond the public request, there was likely no exchange of money for the hit. It was more like making a free deal with the mob where they may call upon him at a later time for a 'favor.'

You have Hillary not being as careful as she could have been with classified information, while Trump has actively encouraged and tasked a foreign government with performing foreign espionage and stealing US secrets and potential classified information.
I don't think there is much that a Federal investigation would be able to do to Trump at this stage, or if it would be possible for him to face legal repercussions for his actions.
Are you saying that Putin's government is a branch office of Trump MegaEgoInc and they take their marching orders from him?
I don't even like the guy myself, but your scenario has some pretty big problems.

And bending over, droping trou for the privilege. Trump is a whiney little bitch and Putin is clearly a Tom of Finland top!!!!

...just like no-one expects a quagga, I guess."No one expects the Federal Inverstiagion!"
You WIN teh tread! I don't care who you are, that's funny! When asked to respond to Trump openly encouraging Russia to hack her server, Mrs. Clinton replied, "hack? You mean, like, with a hatchet or machete?"
Stay classy...republicker. I won't list WHAT they lick!!!!!
May have already happened. He's complaining about the US paying rent to the Saudis for a base we don't officially have.
But that's like claiming Area 51 doesn't exist.
Area 51 exists...
Of course it exists, silly! For a long period of time, they denied its existence!
