Steve King is still super racist.

Speaking on the Mike Gallagher Show, King said white people need to be defended or Western civilization will erode. Gallagher sarcastically said to King, “Oh, you can’t say that, because you can attack white people, you can’t attack non-white people. That doesn’t work that way in 2016 America.”

King responded, saying, “But Mike, we have to plow into the middle of that and do that, or they’re gonna have us retreating to the point where they will have Western civilization eroded and disparaged. I mean, they did that in the beginning of the Dark Ages and we spent centuries of not being able to reason. I don’t want that to happen again.”

I'm sure his kids, the RNC, ect really want him to read some speech that somebody else wrote off the teleprompter. But Donald hates that. So what are the chances he says screw it and does that rambling stream of consciousness BS that he loves?

He starts with a script and switches to that rambling stream of consciousness BS that he loves after ~15 minutes.
 
A lot of time being spent by Trump's supporters in trying to walk back his remarks on NATO.
 
I'm more convinced than ever that Trump will apologize to Cruz tonight. I know, that would be totally out of his character. But so is Trump not jumping on the morning shows today and criticizing Cruz. *Note, he's been unusually silent about it. I would have expected Trump to be on all the morning shows calling Cruz a spoil-sport and a sore loser. But that hasn't happened. And say what you want about Trump, he does have a flair for theatrics.

I can just imagine the impact of a heartfelt (phoney or real) apology to start his speech. I can see it now. People, people, before I get started, I want to say a few words about Senator Trump. Boo boo...No people, don't blame Ted. In fact blame me, I feel the need to apologize to Cruz and his family. I said some things that were over the line. Please Ted, forgive me...now people start cheering. I need, we need people like Ted Cruz in the Senate to get what needs to be done.

It would be downright masterful. And it could easily have been planned for months.

He's been in the convention center going through a walkthrough of tonight. They need at least one night not to be plagued by errors both self inflicted and mechanical. Donnie Jr. has been making the rounds to the shows to dump on Cruz.

But it's not Donald Sr. That to me is the key. All of his supporters going crazy and Trump gets to show he's above it.

The bar has been set so low for him, not unlike Reagan vs Carter, it wont take much for the media to be gob smacked.

Exactly. Trump doesn't know squat about economics or foreign relations, but he does understand theater. He loves drama. And the media just licks that titty milk right up.
 
No way is Donald going to apologize to Cruz. If anything, he will attack him for not endorsing.
 
I gotta give props to Lyin Ted Cruz here. After having his dear daddy and wife and reputation dragged through the manure he went up there and gave the Trumpvention his equivalent of a full moon. I still think that he is an evil sick bastard but he showed some spine in his own way.
