I meant better in the sense that he would perform better in the general elections compared to Donald. President Cruz is someone that would embrace the regressive platform the Republicans put forward this election with great ambition. I don't die in a nuclear holocaust if that happens but the nuclear holocaust isn't a complete lock under Donald. That's a hard choice. :eusa_think:

Which one is worse? Don't make me choose. They both suck. They were without a doubt in my mind when this process started Examples 1 and 1A of what would be least desirable candidates possible.

But whereas I think Trump is ignorant, lazy and unorganized, I do not think he is stupid. Underestimate him at your peril.
 
Convention ground to a halt with Alaska disputing the awarding of all their delegates to Trump rather than as they voted.
 
So far they've completely failed to try and reach out to undecided voters. They keep harping on how awful brown people and Hillary are. How we are all absolutely about to be murder death killed by Simon Phoenix ISIS right in our own living rooms. And if we live we'll all have to have forced abortions by a Black Lives Matter protestor.

The kind of person all that would appeal to is already in Trump's camp. And almost certainly has been in Trump's camp for a long time. There is essentially zero outreach going on to anyone that isn't white, male and afraid of anyone that doesn't have a very Anglo Saxon name.
 
Will Paul Ryan ever be able to wash the stink of Donald Trump off of him? I doubt it.

Reince shutting down the protest was weird. Were they still afraid that Donald wouldn't have enough votes after all the shenanigans they went through yesterday so they put a fix in?
 
There hasn't been this much infighting and unpleasantness on the purportedly same side since the last Lannister family reunion!

More of the same tonight. I wonder if anyone giving a speech tonight will tie one of their platitudes for the great pumpkin to an anecdote or policy he's promoting. I mean they tie the hateful things they say about Hillary to conspiracy theories at least. If you asked someone why people are saying nice things about Donald, they couldn't answer even after his wife gave a speech about him.

I think Trump would've still had enough since yesterday didn't end up making any changes to how delegates would be assigned. Apparently Reince and the central RNC had some rules disagreements with 4 state parties and didn't talk it out before the delegates were formally voting.

So just more unforced errors. Reince and Ryan were starting to look pissed that this was making them look bad and keeping them from getting to their planned speakers on time.

Intelligence does not exclude mental illness. As has been going round the pundits since the Melinia speech discovery, it's dangerous that Trump is incapable of admitting error.

I think it was also an attempt to show Party Unity,and,of course, did just the opposite.
 
Did someone forget to tell everyone speaking tonight's theme was Make America Work Again? It's mostly, "Benghazi! Emails! Benghazi! Sexual abuse! Benghazi!" all over again. Have they already resigned to losing and are just working to de-legitimize Hillary Clinton's Presidency?
