Hillary Clinton is Done: part 2

Meanwhile how is that fraud trial going for Trump, you know the candidate involved in an actual trial rather than the fantasy one the Clinton haters have been indulging in for a year plus?

I despise Trump. Attacking him here is pointless. It's low-hanging fruit. What's the fun in that? There are 20 other people who are busy attacking him. Some are hilarious. It's more fun to read other people's Trump attacks than write my own. And we all agree, he would be a disaster and shouldn't be elected.

What's much more entertaining and intellectually stimulating is pointing out uncomfortable truths and arguing in support of those truths, such as Clinton, despite not being Trump, is still a terrible candidate who never should have gotten the nomination. That doesn't mean I won't vote for her, because the alternative is a thousand times worse, but I also won't drink the Clinton kool-aid and pretend she's not a deeply flawed candidate (and person).

Unidentified sources have told CNN that no charges will be brought. My guess would be that Clinton propagandist David Brock is the source.

We have to wait for FBI Director James Comey to release his official recommendation. Until then, it's just the Clinton spin machine spreading disinformation.
And when the FBI doesn't recommend charges that will be evidence it is part of the conspiracy, right. Don't bother answering, I know that's what you people will say.

It's interesting that right wing sources citing unnamed sources and right wing 'experts' continually repeating the mantra an indictment was a certainty is not spin, while near the end of the investigation with every major news outlet except Fox reporting sources saying no indictment will be forthcoming is considered spin.

It's opposite world!

Not quite accurate:

"The meeting signals the investigation is coming to an end, and sources tell CNN the expectation is Clinton will not face charges."

CNN is reporting that they've heard there will be no charges. They reported the same thing in May.

Except it's now July, and Clinton just spoke with the CIA. Don't you think it carries a bit more weight, now ??

If true: My bold prediction. Just like with Benghazi, HDS sufferers will not accept the results. Let the excuses begin (some have already surfaced)

Indeed.

When George W. Bush was President I remember some liberal friends of mine suggesting that half of what Bush did was criminal. They blew a fairly large percentage of his actions way out of proportion. My reaction to them is the same as it is with the Clinton haters. A big roll of the eyes.

When did everybody lose perspective and common sense? This email so called "scandal" was hardly scandalous. It was a mistake in judgment no doubt, but it certainly wasn't evidence of corruption.

OTOH, You would think that a candidate who went about conning people who could ill afford it would be be deemed wrong by virtually everyone.

If it was a mild rebuke, why is Trump polling ahead of her on honesty and trustworthiness? Trump, of all people???

This email scandal has damaged her much more than you realize.

That's what happens when the investigations take a year and the information drips out there in this fashion. Somehow a GOP judge authorized releasing the emails a little at a time to keep the story in the news. They managed to create a lot of smoke where there was no fire. Most people don't have a clue what happened but it must have been something because they never stopped hearing about it.

As a campaign strategy it was effective, but it was always deceptive.

It was criminal. Obama declined to pursue any of it.

In particular, Bush used the Justice Department as the GOP's personal election fraud perpetrator. Bush did use the GOP email system to circumvent exposure of his shenanigans. Bush did distort the evidence he made his Iraq War case with including purposefully outing Plame and feeding false stories to the news media. And that's not even getting into the torture approval issue.

Here's the thing Ginger. I'm no fan of George W. But when people say something is "criminal" it doesn't mean unethical, deceptive or immoral. There absolutely were actions that were sleazy enough that they should have been criminal but I'm not convinced many actually were.

It's off topic, believe what you want. Using the DoJ to influence elections is indeed criminal. Exposing a CIA agent was criminal enough to convict Libby. Maybe you are unaware of why Bush fired 8 attorney's general.

Voter Caging occurred initiated by the Bush administration:
Conspiring to prevent voters from participating in
elections in which a federal candidate is on the ballot,
or when done “under color of law” in any election,
federal or nonfederal (18 U.S.C. §§ 241, 242).

2004 United States election voting controversies

There's more, but this is off-topic. Investigate for yourself voter caging, voter purges, Bush and Cheney's involvement including using the Justice Department and firing the Attorneys General that refused to participate, replacing them with attorneys that would when they could.

"Hindsight is 20/20," Clinton said.

Most people would prefer that someone have foresight, and be able to make good decisions, not screw up and then realize after the fact.

I think most people would have the foresight to understand this was a bad decision, let alone lawyers.

Hindsight is 2020 is going to be truth for many of her supporters.

And in people's mind's Clinton using an email server at home is criminal.

Was Trump University a bad decision? What about Trump Steaks? Trump Travel? Trump Air? Trump Mortgage? Doesn't look like Trump has 20/20 foresight either

The FBI might very well not recommend charges. That doesn't mean they can't issue a scathing report that politically damages Clinton. That's already happened once with the State Department IG's report, where we now know Clinton lied when she said her email practices were allowed.

And Mrs. Bunny will make some tea and cakes and take them to the clearing in the forest where the wise old owl will teach them that they have to learn to respect all the animals and a great rejoicing will be heard across the land as the wise old owl is chosen to be the new leader of all the animals. World hunger will be solved, Reality TV will cease to exist, and the common cold will become a thing of the past as the wise old owl leads the animals to the promised land of Progresso-topia.

This episode of HDS Fantasies has been brought to you by the letter R and the number Get Over It, It's Over.
