Hillary Clinton is Done: part 2

It is pretty simple. A huge portion of Republican primary voters are crazy, stupid, authoritarian bigots.

Did you see the O'Reilly interview the other day when Trump was asked about specifics? He basically said nothing but "trust me".

Personally, those are red flag words for me... especially when a salesman says them.
Trust should not be given but earned. And the one thing Donald has proven is that he is not trustworthy. He consistently over promises and under delivers.

I make a point of putting a lot of hours into watching Fox during an election year. It helps explain the Republican meltdown in November when you see them spinning every story and every poll as to how much a positive that is for their candidate. O'Reilly probably only has the Trump Underwear and maybe a tie pin. It's when you get to the stooges on Fox and Friends when you see the complete set-up softball questions. Hannity? He has the Trump script handed to him before the calls or interviews. He doesn't just have the underwear and tie-pin, he has the I Heart Trump tattoo on his butt and I think gets a transfusion of orange blood before he goes on the air.

The real tell with Fox is that it's like clockwork. I swear I heard one of the newscasters, after they reported the results of the Belmont Stakes, wonder out loud if Trump was able to get to the track that day. :p

Lynch claimed the two did not speak about the ongoing criminal investigation into <snip> Hillary’s gross negligent handling of top secret classified information. "Our conversation was a great deal about grandchildren," the attorney general said.
Evidence this is untrue?

When asked to comment about Monday's clandestine meeting, the former President fell back on his standard refrain: "I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Miss Lynch."
Pathetic.

I once ran a stop sign in front of a cop. I was in a neighborhood I was unfamiliar with. The stop sign was mostly blocked by a parked car and I didn't see it until it was too late. The cop saw me run it and immediately pulled me over. He walked up to me and, if certain narratives in this thread are to be believed, I had to choices:

1) Lie
2) Get a ticket

But, incredibly, I was honest, explained the situation, was prepared to accept the consequences and yet the cop didn't write a ticket. How is that even possible! I mean I did technically break the law! The cop saw me break a law!

Cool story bro

Indicted or not indicted, Clinton could lose politically

Legal experts say investigators could be looking into potential violations of Section 1924 of Title 18, which deals with the unauthorized removal and retention of classified documents or material, or even the Espionage Act, which makes it a crime for anyone “through gross negligence,” to allow the loss, theft or removal of classified information or fails to promptly report such mishandling to his superior.

U.S. Code 18, Section 1924 - Unauthorized removal and retention of classified documents:

"Whoever, being an officer, employee, contractor, or consultant of the United States, and, by virtue of his office, employment, position, or contract, becomes possessed of documents or materials containing classified information of the United States, knowingly removes such documents or materials without authority and with the intent to retain such documents or materials at an unauthorized location shall be fined under this title or imprisoned for not more than one year, or both."

More on the scandalous  Bill and Loretta meeting.

According to one news account: Clinton waited for her to arrive.

The article cites: "Sources tell ABC15 Clinton was notified Lynch would be arriving at the airport soon and waited for her arrival."

How long did he wait and who are the "sources"?

And believe it or not, Bill is a very social guy and such meetings are not uncommon for him. Is he afraid his phone was tapped that he couldn't just pick up the phone for this supposedly corrupt meeting?

Here, let's try a different scenario than the one which looks more scandalous and sells more news. In this one, while the source is not named, his job description is and the reporter claims to have confirmed the source by seeing his security badge.

EXCLUSIVE: Security Source Details Bill Clinton Maneuver to Meet Loretta Lynch
According to the source, the FBI agents protecting Lynch “knew former POTUS was in town and another executive was coming and knew Lynch was coming so we knew there’d be congestion. We were waiting for her plane to touch down at the executive terminal area of Phoenix’s Sky Harbor where it’s best suited to control. Clinton’s plane was on the ground already. But he wasn’t there. We had been hoping to get him out before she arrived, just to avoid too much traffic. They [their planes] were 75 yards apart. We have a procedure we do to clear [space for] a motorcade. As we were ready to receive her, I saw the other motorcade coming in—we were like, ‘great timing.’ ”

The source was being sarcastic in saying “great timing,” indicating that it would have been better logistically for Clinton’s plane to take off before Lynch’s arrived, to avoid the congestion of two motorcades on the tarmac at once.

Of course even this source has to put pure speculation into the story:
The source indicated that Clinton’s people at the airport didn’t know what was taking Clinton’s motorcade so long to arrive and speculated that the delay was engineered specifically so that Clinton would not have left before Lynch arrived.

The description of the event continues:
“Then I see Clinton walking over. His detail guys ran over to hers and said he’s coming. ‘He’s closing.’ He walked straight there to the Air Force guy at the door and next thing I know he’s going up the steps [of her plane].” Asked about the Air Force detail, the source later clarified to the Observer that “There was an Air Force airman at the base of the stairs of the [Lynch] aircraft, as you always see on TV with POTUS.”

According to the source, “Nobody knew this was coming. We just knew to be aware there were other events going on. There was no planned meeting. It was just chance contact. The fact is, he just started walking over. I don’t think it was pre-arranged. He just started walking over and [even her security] can’t tell him, ‘you can’t do that.’ He walked in her plane for at least 20 to 25 minutes and the FBI is standing face to face with the Secret Service and just chatting on the hot tarmac like, ‘what the hell.’ ”

So in the ABC news link the claim is Clinton had his plane delayed. In the more detailed and better documented story it was Clinton's motorcade that was behind schedule getting there. As for Clinton purposefully waiting, neither report presents any more than pure speculation that is what occurred.

You have two high security motorcades arriving on the tarmac where private jets park. Obviously the security details of Clinton was informed Lynch's plane had just arrived since two security details crossing paths would need to know.

I see nothing that supports the reporters' speculation Clinton purposefully delayed his motorcade arrival to run into Lynch.

Clinton bumps into Lynch, pays a social call. Bill's gregariousness gets him in trouble, not unusual, no evidence of any corruption. End of story.

Not quite the end of the story. You left out an important detail.

One of the principal targets of an ongoing criminal investigation by the FBI, had a 30 minute private meeting with the Attorney General of the United States.

But hey, there wasn't any impropriety involved -- we have their assurances that they only discussed their "grandchildren".

That's false . Bill Clinton isn't a target of the investigation and Loretta Lynch is not conducting the investigation of the emails. In fact there is no "target" of the investigation.

Clearly he doesn't care about facts. Just post count

Good grief...Bill is the current husband of the principal subject (if you don't care for the word 'target') and the former POTUS! ETA: also, the one who essentially made her career. Whether Lynch is conducting the investigation or not, it goes in front of HER desk! Do you
know what the "appearance of impropriety" means?? I guarantee you BC and LL know what it means... It was a monumental mistake, and there is no way to sugarcoat it.
This is why, despite personally having nothing against HRC, I have argued from early in the campaign that it would be a huuuge mistake nominating Hillary. She is such an easy target. It boggles my mind that the Democrats have paved her way, here she is the 'subject' (aka target ;) ) of an FBI investigation just weeks from the convention...it is not a good thing. Anyone but the maniac Trump could have skinned her alive...she is so fortunate the Republicans are modestly more stupid than the Dems...

You can view it through the lens of corruption as is your choice. Lynch has said that she'll accept whatever recommendations the FBI makes. Yes, it doesn't look kosher to people who already see Clinton as corrupt but the facts are Bill and Loretta are friends from way back and if he wanted to unduly influence the investigation there would be a far better way to do it.
You'd also think he would have done it sooner.
No, this is a whole lot nothing. Note, that HRC met with the FBI today.

Oh! I see, they are "friends from way back."

Hell i wish I would have known that earlier, that really clears up any question at all about her being biased.

Thanks man!

Glad I could help. Enjoy your 4th.

Another crackerjack investigation by CAPTAIN OBVIOUS.

We know that detail. It's why we're discussing it.

Personally, I agree with Lynch. It must've been an "Oh ****" moment for both of them when they realized the possible implications. Will this be the strawman that broke the straw camel's back? No. But it is not helpful and it was a dumb thing to do.

And that is why I think it was 300% innocent. Bill, the diabolically clever mastermind of the Clinton Crime Family Syndicate? "Oh, say. Hi there. Fancy meeting you at an airport we were both scheduled to be in. Wink wink nudge nudge. How are the grandchildren? Are they off school for the summer and planning on coming to my all expenses paid Bastille Day barbecue in Antigua, not that that has anything to do with any, er, uh, current investigations at the DoJ, of course. [Laughs into handkerchief]"
