Will Donald Trump implode, and when?

Will The Donald's campaign implode (by certain definitions of "implode") and when?

  • He will implode before the convention. He might even get replaced!

    Votes: 2 3.5%
  • He will implode at the convention with the most idiotic acceptance speech ever.

    Votes: 6 10.5%
  • He will implode after the convention and get stomped into the dirt in November.

    Votes: 22 38.6%
  • He will NOT implode! VIVA EL DONALDO!!!

    Votes: 5 8.8%
  • He's already imploded, he's toast.

    Votes: 11 19.3%
  • Planet X will implode into a black hole of everlasting love!

    Votes: 11 19.3%

  • Total voters

Here's my fantasy. Trump implodes. The Senate and House shift to Democratic control. And Clinton will be ready to move on day one to get as much legislation passed as possible over the next two years.

If all goes well, then maybe the subsequent 2 after that.

I think your fantasy will stop at the senate... although RCP has Texas, yeah Texas, now only leaning towards the GOP.

My fantasy is Trump doesn't even get 30% of the vote.

Good afternoon.
I think he already imploded . I also think it doesn't matter. His followers like his bizarre behavior and will continue to back km him. Those that see Trump for what he is will continue to laugh at the Orange Clown. It's the strange dance that the rest of the GOP are doing which cracks me up. They created him and now pretend to distance themselves from him. Very silly.

People have been talking about Trump's upcoming implosion as long as they've been talking about Hillary's upcoming indictment.

I'm firmly in the "I'll believe it when I see it" camp.

No implosion, just a slow and steady decline. Poll after poll has him well down. It'll just get worse as more Bernie supporters come around after the convention, and he alienates every single republican that isn't deeply bigoted.

Latest has HRC up +8, or +6 with Johnson and Stein included.

And how they know he is the only candidate they have and they will seriously lose the surpeme court if he isn't elected. Unless they can keep from filling vacancies for 5 years or more. So they need to back him, but they also know that he really can't win. It really is kind of funny to watch.

They have been expecting trump to implode for 24 years?

I think he's already imploded but I chose the Planet X option.

The man has moved past bat **** crazy into lost loon territory. Every time he opens his mouth, more and more bizarre speech spews forth. If I were a close family member, I'd be considering an intervention. Not that Trump would care, of course.

Like the gun comments he's now backtracking because even the NRA, THE NRA mind you, said "Whoa, Dude!".

Trump's campaign had a whopping $1.3 million at the end of May. It raised $5.6 million. And has $45.7 million in debt, all owed to Trump himself.

LOL

Wouldn't it be something if his campaign ground to a halt due to lack of money? Big donors close their wallets, the RNC decides to spend their money supporting Senate races, and Lying Donald doesn't really have the money to fund the campaign himself.

I voted Planet X. I'm done underestimating this guy. He's going to the general election and he'll have said and done a whole lot of stupid things before then. He'll lose, but still declare victory. He'll set up a White House in exile and second guess every word the President says. He'll do everything he can to undercut the administration and then he'll run again in 2020 and his corpse will probably still be getting votes 80 years from now.

Apparently he has just fired his campaign manager for telling him to stop pandering to the hate groups.

Just saw that, though different sources give different reasons for this.

The NYT article does not conclude that he was fired for telling him to stop pandering. I think that's RK's interpretation. If anything, Lewandowski was canned because he's an echo chamber for Trump's more aggressive and misanthropic views. They're very similar people and when the party mercenaries and party pros have been telling Trump to tone it down, adoring Corey's been there telling them they have to Let Trump Be Trump. If Trump asked [nay, "told"... Trump never asks] Corey about attacking Mooslims during the Orlando event, the most Corey would say is "Yeah, boss... and maybe go after the camel ********** in the White House while you're at it."

What I love is that getting rid of the bog variety pain-in-the-ass creep, they're turning it over - and cheering wildly - for the p.r. guy for tinpot dictators the world over.
