Clinton: 'Weapons of war' must be banned after Orlando

"Terrorists and dangerous individuals are using guns to kill Americans. We should make it a lot harder for them to do that," Clinton said. She said she has already and will continue to make gun control laws a foundation of her presidential campaign.

When asked what needs to change to get gun reform, Clinton blamed the gun lobby.

"It's not complicated. The gun lobby scared the heck out of elected officials," Clinton said. "We need to make it a voting issue. It is no longer acceptable that elected officials at every level of government will not hear the cries … of the thousands … of people … and we have got to make it clear that we will stand up to" gun deaths.

Crooked Hillary is no doubt frantically searching for another anti-Muslim video which can be blamed for the Orlando massacre -- reminiscent of her Benghazi blame game.

But until then, we'll just have to blame it on the guns -- inanimate objects which must surely be the guilty party.

Killary and her shillaries deserve every bit of nauseated mocking they get.
I'm sorry you feel this way, for at least three reasons: (1) You might have valid points that your infantile rhetoric may cause me to overlook, (2) it doesn't bother me in the way you may think -- my main reaction is I feel embarrassed on your behalf, and mainly (3) you're producing plenty of noise, not so much signal. I wish this forum had more signal.

Hilary broke with Obama today and called the attacks in Orlando an attack of Islamic Extremism. IMHO good move on her part. I am generally a Obama supporter, but do find his reluctance to use that term to be pretty silly and not serving much of a purpose.

I repeat my desire to return to the good old days when the only time you heard the name Benghazi was in books on The North Africans Campaign in World War 2.

A friend of mine is from Benghazi. He's taken to telling people he's from Misrata just because he's sick of hearing about it.

I agree with you.

Since he is no longer subject to giving a **** what the asshat portion of the public thinks, I raise my glass to him for refusing to bow to conservative pressure to produce a useless sound bite.

The good old days of the "Benghazi Stakes"......when the city changed hands between Rommel and The British on a regular basis...

She kinna has to, right? She has to come out at least as strong on terror as she is on gun control to contend with the image Trump has created of being "tougher than tough". Obama has the luxury of nuance, where Hillary doesn't—at least during the election.

I look at it more like taking an ignorant talking point away from the right.

They repeat the mantra, Obama won't say the words.

To quote Clinton, "What difference does it make?"

I think Obama's emphasis is on this as part of the larger pattern of mass shootings in the USA, the professed ideology of the gunman should be no more relevant than the nut who shot up the Batman screening. Of course the media spin is making that point nigh on impossible to get across. Clinton probably made the smart move here by trying to co-opt the 'Islamic Extremism' tag for her gun control agenda.

Hillary: People Under FBI Investigation Should Lose Constitutional Rights

“If the FBI is watching you for suspected terrorist links,” Hillary Clinton said today in her supposedly apolitical speech, “you shouldn’t be able to just go buy a gun.”

If we’re going to do this, let’s be consistent.

If the FBI is conducting a criminal investigation of your suspected illegal use of a home email server to transmit classified intelligence, you shouldn’t be allowed to just go and run for president. Obviously.

The idea that we would allow a person who can’t be trusted with our most vital secrets to hold the most powerful office in the nation is absurd. It’s just not safe.

Incidentally, no one is "able to just go buy a gun,” as Crooked Hillary purports. The Orlando mass murderer, Omar Mateen, reportedly passed a background check.

And from what is known, the FBI had questioned the radicalized jihadist -- conducted a "security inquiry," to use Crooked Hillary's parlance -- and then removed his name from their terror watchlist once it closed its investigation.

This was not a failure of our gun laws, but rather the deadly consequences of political correctness run amok.

In the past, Crooked Hillary has avoided referencing "Islam" when discussing terrorism. When asked in December why she refuses to say "radical Islam," she explained that "it helps to create a clash of civilizations that is actually a recruiting tool for ISIS and other radical jihadists who use this as a way of saying we're in a war against the West."

But then on Monday she made the startling statement: "To me, radical jihadism, radical Islamism, I think they mean the same thing. I’m happy to say either."

Fashionably late to the party, or just plain pandering? The latter, of course.

Hillary must release ALL her transcripts!

Thinking About Hillary
Is $200k really that unusual? In fact “All American Speakers”, the agency that represents Clinton, currently represents 135 people whose MINIMUM speaking fee is $200,000. Some of the luminaries that get paid this much include: Guy Fieri, Ang Lee, Carla Delevingne, Chelsea Handler, Elon Musk, Mehmet Oz, Michael Phelps, Nate Berkus, and “Larry the Cable Guy”. And no that last one is not a joke.

...before he ran for President in 2007, Rudy Giuliani was making about $700,000 a month in speaking fees with an average of $270k per speech. It’s estimated that in the 5 years before his run he earned as much as $40 million in speaking fees. Nobody cared, no accusations of impropriety were made, and there was almost no media interest.

...the majority of the money Clinton has made from speaking fees did not come from Wall Street. In fact it’s not even close. She has given nearly 100 paid speeches since leaving the State Dept., and only 8 were to “Wall Street” banks. Nearly all of her speeches were to organizations like American Camping Association...

It's time Hillary released all her transcripts, and I mean all of them. We need to know what she promised the American Camping Association!

Apparently Utah, which hasn't voted for a Democrat since 1964, is now in play with Hillary seemingly ahead in some polls there.

That's interesting.

That's just because Mormons hate Trump. Apparently they actually have principals unlike other conservative Christians.

Or, let's be fair, Mittens has a huge following there.

Huge doesn't even begin to cover it. Some of them still think he's the fulfillment of a prophecy. He was a well known name in Utah before his run for president, after he rescued the Salt Lake City Winter Olympics. When he came out with his speech against Trump, it was a turning point for the LDS block of voters.

It will be interesting to see if it actually flips the state, or if they simply vote for a third-party candidate like Gary Johnson.
