Hillary Clinton is Done: part 2

Regarding partisanship in general...

When one cannot see that one cannot see, one does not even know one is blind.
Indeed. I remain surprised how many can't seem to grasp that in the US system, we have a binary choice: either Clinton or Trump will be our next president. All of this effort by Sanders supporters to knock Clinton down, and they can't see that if they are successful, they are going to get someone way worse: Trump.

Some of us see the fact of the binary choice as not only as a problem, but the detect cause of the horribleness of the choices. Why should I continued to support it. The lesser of two evils is still evil, after all.

Clinton is a better choice than Trump, but she isn't a good choice. Continuing to validate the system will only feed the beast that left us on this mess.

I will either view fur a candidate I believe in, or against the system.

Whether or not you support it, you are stuck with it. You can vote however you wish, or not at all, but one of those two candidates will be the next President.

This is true.

I hope that in the future we can avoid this dilemma.

I'm a moderate. There are aspects of both parties that appeal to me.

You post frequently in this sub-forum. Can you link to any post where you've been critical of Hillary (or just agreed with someone else's criticism)? Possible criticisms include Iraq, Libya, Wall Street speeches, violations of State Dept policy, past lies/exaggerations, support of DOMA, etc.

Here, I'll tell you what:

I'm saying I'm not a Hillary supporter on principles. Rather than me dredging up all the posts where I've specifically said that, why don't YOU dredge up all my posts where I supported any of those things. I generally don't comment on the actual issues as I'm a self-serving sumbitz. I have no desire to give the uber right wing any more talking points.

The enemy of my enemy is my friend. I support the candidate with the best possibility of taking down the GOP. Look at my posts. If you haven't read that point, then you're missing a great deal. My attacks on the supposed left-ish posters have been when they are parroting, knowingly or not, the right wing mantra.

Benghazi, cowboy server, hiring her buddy,.... you want to start a thread on any of those things and try to discuss them rationally? Will not work. Benghazi - there are important things to discuss and learn... you won't get two posts in before "She's a traitor! Dems Lie!" The server? There are a whole lot of issues there; but they're bi-partisan and more related to the boondoggle of a bureaucracy we have in Washington. Hiring buddies... since everybody did and does it, why is it a moral issue with Hillary and not a moral issue with everyone? Clean up the system. If Hillary gets a bloody nose in the clean-up, so be it. It's not going to sink her campaign. We actually had some of these conversations when these stories broke... they went by the wayside as the partisans got into pitbull mode. I expect much the same through the remainder of the campaign season. That's just reality. It's all about tearing down the other candidate.

I'll give you a few others that no one can discuss without going completely What's In It For Me partisan. Clean up the FEC. Revamp or dump the Electoral College. Give the FCC sway over cable and satellite and re-introduce the "fairness doctrine". Amend the Constitution to force Citizens United [or its issues] back into the Supreme Court, thus killing the Black PACs.

Fair enough and if I judged you too harshly, I apologize.

Anything about the article and her appointment of the schmuck?

Anything at all?
I read the bit you quoted and... meh. Sorry I just couldn't fire up enough outrage to read the rest of the article.

But hey; it served it's purpose, right? You managed to get 'Hillary' and 'Crooked' in the same sentence...

I'm not a Trump supporter, and I think she's as crooked as the day is long. How many lies did the IG report alone reveal?
Crooked is an awfully vague term. That said, I don't take issue (at the moment) with you (or anyone) who thinks of her as crooked. I take issue with infantile, ritualistic name-calling the likes of which Trump indulges in, e.g. Crooked Hillary.

Ditto.

And I particularly take issue with it when it's supposed socialists or liberals lining up at the right wing Pavlovian information trough and parroting slogans that could be coming from vermin like Lew Rockwell or Tucker Carlson. A lot of the posts in this thread and the other Get Hillary threads truly appear to be articles that posters are getting by setting their newsfeed to "bad stuff about Hillary". Any old crap... regardless of source... just throw it out there and see if it sticks.

I once felt the need to take pillary
to cure my disgust with old Killary
I popped more than one
disgust wasn't gone
I blamed it on some random shillary

Oooh, a rap war!

Should I take up my quillary
to respond to this rap would be sillary
your head will be spinning
I'm so obviously winning
and your efforts are so run-of-the-millary.

Peace! Foolmewunz Out. [drops the mic]
