Hillary Clinton is Done: part 2

The funny thing is, the transcripts were leaked by someone (at Goldman Sachs?) a few weeks ago. Most of Clinton's remarks were said to be pretty routine stuff. There was one comment she made that could be considered damaging. Reference:

I'm a moderate (registered) Democrat and I've been in private business all my adult life. I don't have any big problem with Hillary having told Goldman Sachs, "I will always...put your priorities first, above all else..."

None of the companies I've worked for, or companies where I knew people, none of them are evil. Basically they want to make money. Rape and pillage is usually not an agenda item. When American business is doing well the American economy is usually doing well. Take out a new car loan and buy a house, that kind of thing. So she's essentially telling Goldman Sachs, 'Don't worry about me.' If I worked for Goldman Sachs, even in a low level position, I'd think she was pretty cool.

Snopes: FALSE.

And of course polls never, ever change over a period of a month.

That wasn't the issue. You wanted to know what I thought of a poll you linked showing Clinton with a double-digit lead. It's an outlier. Future polling may show it to be the start of a trend, but with the information we have right now, it fits the standard definition of "outlier".

Do you dispute this? Are you using some other definition of outlier than the one I provided?

It doesn't matter. Bernie is apparently going to contest the convention and try to get super-delegates to switch. Since the supers won't switch unless a disaster happens, Bernie should just suspend his campaign, focus on Trump, give Obama the go-ahead to campaign for Clinton, and take his place as backup quarterback in case a disaster does happen.

He can't stop pretending his movement actually succeeded. He's still riding the high, a lifelong dream to lead a movement.

But after Tuesday the news media will quit repeating the narrative that Clinton can't close the deal even though she actually has. They will move on to 'how will Hillary ever deal with Teflon Don when none of the GOP wimps could' even though she clearly can.

He is leading a movement and has tremendous power. Bernie doesn't need Clinton, but Clinton absolutely needs Bernie and the 10 million people who voted for him. If they stay home, she loses.

No, the narrative will be what it's been since Bernie's chances plummeted: how will Clinton get Sander's supporters on board? Remember, if Hillary does as well as expected on Tuesday, she'll only end up with about 55% of the primary vote to Bernie's 42%. The Democratic base is badly fractured at the moment.

Clinton won the nomination. Why do all you Sanders supporters keep acting like Sanders won?

I'm not that worried that Clinton cannot beat Trump. She is truly Presidential while Trump is not. For every Sanders supporter that stays home or votes for the Green Party, the Republicans that actually use the brains in their heads will stay home or vote for Clinton or Johnson. The vast majority of Sanders supporters will vote for Clinton once Sanders stops calling her corrupt and they can see she isn't what Sanders has made her out to be.

:dl:

"Skeptic" Ginger, listen, you are off the timeline. It looks like the pre$$titute media will announce Rotten Clinton's win three hours before the California booths are closing...

... but in real life we have to wait until late July, when THEY will decide who "won" the nomination. By now nobody has won the nomination, not outside your wishful thinking.

More gold medal winning denial. Hope the humble pie tastes okay.

Is it possible for you to respond to what people actually say, instead of what you think they're saying? Do you have to strawman everything?

The vast majority of Sander's supporters are Sander's supporters, not Hillary supporters, and are waiting to see what happens next. They may become Hillary supporters, or they might just stay home.

There is no gold medal winning yet. Your "humble pie" is just another authoritarian fantasy of yours, based on nothing but conditioning.

No fantasy.

Reality will really suck for a number in this thread when it hits. With Hillary's nomination and eventual victory.

Whose Sander???

Reality will suck if Trump wins. You obviously have an animosity toward Bernie supporters, which is certainly not unique to this forum. It's that kind of attitude that will turn people off and depress turnout in November.

Really?

You are, as usual, wrong. I have animosity towards irrational HRC haters
