My eyeballs see explosives on youtube videos, copies from... lol

WTC 7 had 15 core columns IIRC... 3 rows of 5....there were several to the east of the core..and to the west... total 9... the remaining were the moment frame at the perimeter.

The Troofer lack of knowledge of CD is so painful. Try to find a competent demolitions expert and run this by him:
We're going to crash a pair of 767s into the Twin Towers, and we need you to rig it with explosives to ensure they come down...but not at the moment of impact, maybe an hour later so we can get the live TV coverage.
...Oh, and we need you to rig WTC7 to blow, but 8 hours later, and you can use explosives that make noise.
After the guy stops laughing, he'll tell you that two 767s are enough to to the job. That's what engineers KSM, UBL, and Atta saw when they did their math, and they're the only engineers who count when talking about 9-11.

Oh, and neither you nor Tony have explained WHY CD was necessary in the first place, and neither of you have given a reason why WTC7 was blown up at all.
Happy to be educated here, but I always understood 'core' to mean 'non-perimeter' in this context. i.e. 24
The problem with that idea is that, yes, there are such things as shaped charges that are directional and such things are indeed used to cut steel in CDs. But being directional and of limited 'range' in terms of depth of cut they have to be used in pairs, minimum, often 4's with two on each side of both flanges of a more substantial "I" column. Also, their effective cutting depth means they won't cut through the web of an "I" section column (just the flanges), so that needs cutting in advance by people with torches.
Tony Szamboti's brain exploded when faced with this issue so he just announced that (I paraphrase) it would only take one explosive charge per column per storey. But then he ended with the scenario you rightly criticise ... non-directional charges doing general damage that happens to be enough to take out a column. In short, bombs. Very quiet bombs, it seems.
eta: Shaped charges are no quieter than other explosives of similar power, just somewhat directional but not magically so. At 4 charges on each of 24 columns over 8 storeys (not enough in my estimation, but we'll be conservative here) that's a cool 768 explosions in the space of a proposed 1 second or so.
It simply didn't happen, for reasons you can work out easily for yourself. Countless reasons.

Now, its dated a couple years ago. Supposedly since that time, Chandler now agrees with TSz in the back pedal wrt the number of columns blasted. One assumes, since TSz spoke to several people about this 'adjustment', that the official AE911T line now also aligns with his scenario.
