Merged 2014 Hugo awards.

This thread is a bit of sad reading. Too many people abandoned critical thinking and fully went one side. Using sad joke of arguments. (Ignoring inconvenient, jumping to conclusions,...) Just hope nobody actually pays attention to this or you are doing best job for Day Vox.

Why?

I would say that he is one of the most dangerous people out there. His ideas might be brutal and wrong, he can be anti-immigrants and EU and other all sorts of wrong. Still he knows how to debate, how to tear apart argumentation of opponents and avoids stuff like ad hominem and insults. Unless opponents area prepared they cannot win. So far we are lucky and he is not going for any political office or things would get bad fast. (luckily local ultra-right wing party doesn't have anybody like him...)

I think I will still stand aside and watch the mayhem. More enjoyment that way from angry cries of SJWs and howling of right-wings. But don't be surprised if I will not shed a tear if your side loses.

One advice, never drop your guard and critical thinking when dealing with Day Vox or you get a nasty surprise.

I am not in habit of intentionally misspelling names or nicknames. Even if I strongly disagree with said person or group. Not mature, childish and idiotic. Degrades ones argumentation against their position and grossly harms credibility. (And makes it far easier to eliminate your arguments)

Very bad idea. My second advice is: Do not do it, no matter what.
 
How much critical thinking do you need when dealing with someone who claims that the Taliban has a point in its approach to the rights of women and that acid attacks might be good for social stability?
 
If you want, I'll refer to him as his initials.

VD is a symptom of a social problem, one could class it as a 'social disease'.

I think that is perfectly reasonable.

I think you're vastly overstating the importance of Poxy. He's one of the new reactionaries, a racist, misogynistic fool who greatly overestimates his own ability and importance.

Utterly unsurprisingly Poxy is trying, and failing, to spin this as a victory with his "we have the SF-SJWs exactly where we want them" nonsense but even the knuckle-draggers of KiA see through this.
