It doesn't convey a presidential image when she's dressed in an outdated, ill-fitting pantsuit. My 92 year old grandmother is more stylish and has better fashion sense than 68 year old Hillary.

John F. Kennedy always looked fit and impeccably dressed. And the same can be said for President Obama.

However, when frumpy Hillary waddles out onto the stage dressed in a pantsuit, well, it's hard not to notice the stark contrast from her predecessors.

And gender has nothing to do with it. If Obama were to pack on 50 lbs and adopt the sweat suit as his new garment of choice, he would be savagely criticized.

Ted Cruz gets away with wearing suits off the rack from thrift shop, so apparently not.

And Trump's ties are all too long, some by over half a foot. And Sanders wears a tie with button down collars. But those issues are rarely mentioned in comparison to frumpy aunt Hillary's pantsuit. Which I have absolutely no problem with. I think it is a functional look that works for her. Like Steve jobs and his mock turtleneck.

Ted, while one of the last men standing, ain't exactly killing it in the political arena at the moment. Trump has far bigger issues than his over-sized ties, including his outlandish hairstyle, to say the least. Sanders doesn't seem to care, which is a shame really, a smudge more style couldn't have hurt him. Where's Steve Jobs now?

Meanwhile, look at our current President. He's never been my choice, but he always looks the part whenever you see him, even on the golf course.

I stand by my statement, appearances are a part of politics.

Were you aware prior to looking it up that the term applied only to women?

I have no idea whether Slings and Arrows did but I sure didn't. I've always thought the term just meant goofy/weird/lumpy looking and have never associated it with gender. It's really easy to make false assumptions which lead one to believe a comment is sexist or racist when it isn't.

For instance I think candidate appearances are irrelevant, as policy and character are what should matter. If someone comments on appearance I just assume it is commenting on appearance. I don't jump immediately to the conclusion that any reference to appearance is automatically gender related and thus sexist. In fact I take the automatic association of looks having to be about gender, and women specifically, as sexist. Yes media and culture have created such a sexist association, but there is no need for me to pick it up and make it my own association, nor for me to assume everyone else has taken up that association.

Lolz, did you intentionally ignore the real attacks on Trump (his crazy hair and orange tan), Sanders (crazy mad scientist hair) and Ted Cruz (evil punchable face that looks like the Zodiac Killer's)

Obama had faux-conservative intellectual David Brooks swooning because of the perfect crease in his pants. Or maybe it was the bulge. Still, his impression made an impression, so to speak.

Well, the real problem is that the latest update to her Human Emulator software is still pretty buggy.
 
There was actually a scientific article about Cruz's unlikable face. For every joke about Hillary's pantsuits, there are ten jokes about how fat Chris Christie is.
