Am I the only one that considers it ironic that had she used the DoS's system for her work emails that they would have been compromised by hackers because their system actually got hacked into,

No, it's been brought up multiple times, last time was around page 46 IIRC

yet we're basically being told that what she did was terrible for having a private server because the Government can make a more secure system than a private company can, even though the Government's one was breached.

The govt does likely have more monitoring, logging, and response capabilities.

Even more ironically, her server was using encoded communications, the DoS's wasn't.

I think you mean encrypted ? Not sure how you arrived at this conclusion, but I am sure they both used encrypted communications (ie SSL/TLS) for access.

So that's your criteria, huh? Hillary will never confess to anything. She's a congenital liar and will never confess to anything in contrast to honorable people such as Petraus. Hillary has no morals, not even a hint of any. She has proven that over and over again that she is willing to say or do anything to obtain or keep her version of power. That fact is well documented and refutable.

When questioned by the FBI, Petraeus lied to agents in responding that he had neither improperly stored nor improperly provided classified information to his biographer

Totes honorable. The irony, it burns !!!

The point was that Petraeus was caught on tape saying he knew the info he gave his girlfriend was highly classified. Does the FBI have anything like that on Hillary? I know you really, badly want her to go to prison, but I wouldn't get my hopes up if I were you.

A married man knowingly giving highly classified info to his mistress and then lying to the FBI about is your idea of honorable? Well, he is a Republican, so I guess that makes up for everything.

Hillary is way more honest than the GOP trash. Who are you going to vote for, the pathological liar, conspiracy theorist Donald Trump?

That article is your answer? Let me quote another part from it, since you were too lazy or embarrassed to do so:

Oh, and if that wasn't enough to shatter completely the article's credibility, there is this:
So you are just going to ignore the fact that Petraeus was caught on tape admitting that the info in the books was highly classified because it is inconvenient to your argument? Can't say I am surprised.

I thought you were going to show me his confession. The caught on tape stuff, well, I don't know the circumstances surrounding it. His biographer had a top secret security clearance after all. He may not have known that what he was doing was improper. Warning her that the diaries contained highly classified stuff makes sense whether or not she was authorized to receive it.

Yeah sure, a four star general/director of the CIA didn't know he wasn't supposed to give out info he knew was highly classified. That's why he lied to the FBI about it.

Were actual emails and communications stolen in these hacks, or was it simply discovered that someone hacked into the system, tried to access information, and failed?

Jane Sanders thinks it would be nice" if the FBI moved it along"

http://www.cbsnews.com/news/jane-sa...-fbi-moved-along-hillary-clinton-email-probe/

"It's an FBI investigation...we want to let it go through without politicizing it and then we'll find out what the situation is and that's how we still feel. I mean, it would be nice if the FBI moved it along," she said with a laugh.

Loretta Lynch will not be hurried, though...
http://www.bloomberg.com/politics/a...be-would-be-undercut-by-a-deadline-lynch-says

The Justice Department hasn’t set a deadline for the investigation into former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s use of private e-mail because doing so would undercut the probe, Attorney General Loretta Lynch said.

What was the question and what did he say? Link?

Two can play your silly juvenile game, you know.

As has been pointed out, she had the Security Clearance. All she didn't have was the "need to know" or so said the FBI.

Obama is going to have to pardon Hillary to keep her out of prison? Are you kidding me? If not, surely you are willing to make a bet over it. $100 that Obama does not pardon Hillary.

You're going to lose track of all these bets.

If there is an indictment, are you seriously planning on ponying up two grand? Are you wealthy?

Really ?

In the interview at Langley, the FBI agents also asked the CIA director about secret PowerPoint briefings on the Afghan war that were in Broadwell’s possession. They also asked if he had provided classified information to Broadwell or facilitated her obtaining it. He denied ever doing that — a statement that later led some in the Justice Department to argue that he should be charged with lying to the FBI when it emerged that she had more sensitive material.

Crystal clear, isn't it ?

"or so said the FBI" - Those lying bastards !

So it was ok, she had a clearance for that classified info he never provided her ?

ROTFLMAO

I've mentioned this. :)

His mistress was a DOD certified journalist, a major (I think) in the US Army reserves, and had a top secret security clearance. She was working on his authorized biography/hagiography, which the DOD had an obvious interest in encouraging and facilitating.

What was Petraeus' purpose in giving her access to his diaries? To get into her pants? He was no doubt rummaging around in there anyway. I imagine he was trying to help her write a more accurate biography, which is at least a noble goal.

What was Hillary's purpose in setting up a private server from which to do all of her government work? Was it noble? No it was not. It was corrupt from the get-go.

Hillary's crimes are worse.

I'm sorry you are having such a hard time with this fantasy.

You still didn't quote what he said. And you don't have an FBI quote either, which you demand for everything related to crooked Hillary. Double standard is obvious.

I'm quite sure that everyone here is totally amused that you think it's awful that Petraus likely lied to the FBI, but you continue to defend Hillary for lies she's told for over 25 years. Many of them have been listed here already and they keep piling up. I can hardly wait until the FBI interviews her. After that, let's continue this conversation. K'

Fantasy, my derriere. Are you sure you know what a fantasy is? Sure doesn't appear so....

What sunmaster wrote is fact, except for the speculation of why and I'd say he's exactly right.
