Here's a novel idea: how about you go back and re-read this thread where all of this has been thoroughly thrashed through? Who knows, you might learn something this time around.

It isn't exactly clear what type of immortality he thinks he can prove. All he is actually doing is trying to prove that something he calls "the scientific model" or "the consensus scientific hypothesis" is wrong.

There are a number of problems with this approach.

It seems to be the only argument he knows...
 
It's especially odd because while these threads are all obviously cases of dogs chasing their own tails, I'm not as sure as I once was which one is the dog and which one is the tail anymore.

Jabba's two main threads; the Shroud and Immortality, both maintain a certain constant level of meta-conversations about how Jabba thinks discussions so be ran but his threads about how discussions should go; Circumstantial Evidence and Jabba's Effective Rules of Debate; are both obvious special pleading defenses of his two main threads.

It's weird. It's like this self feeding stable loop of incorrect methodologies and incorrect conclusions where at this point it is impossible to tell which if a either came first.

Jabba, this is a discussion board. For discussion. It is not a telephone call between you and whoever it might be that you arbitrarily appoint as LCP this week.

As a tactic, attempting to ignore everyone except the one victim you think you might get mileage out of has a name.
