So Rubio has now apparently made a brave stance against the Trump by saying it is getting harder to endorse Trump should he win the election.

Of course it isn't really that brave to offer some mealy-mouthed uncertainty about Trump as he dithers and weighs up which of the lifeboats from the USS Opportunism to leap into.

But that wouldn't be an example of failing to pay due attention to an urgent problem (either intentionally or through blithe disregard). The band played on bravely, in full recognition of their fate. It was a last act of defiance, as well as comfort.
