Hanging as capital punishment

What if it's tactically the best thing to do? Do 'real men' ignore the best, tactical, course of action if it doesn't seem manly enough?

I'm no mind reader, but I think a lot of people are upset that Saddam did not go out on his knees begging for mercy. I think for these types of people,it is incomprehensible that a Saddam could exist: a guy that was wicked, but nevertheless brave and self-righteous ()he really believed in the justness of his cause). For some reason, people think those kinds of qualities are limited to the so-called "Good Guys" as opposed to the so-called "Bad Guys" - and they are forever blind-sided when the so-called "Bad Guys" put up one hell of a show.

A reverse hanging is when the knot of the noose is on the front of your neck instead of behind it.........

In a "traditional" through-the-trapdoor hanging, the knot is to one side, not at the back.

A reverse hanging is when the knot of the noose is on the front of your neck instead of behind it. This causes slow strangulation instead of a quick death. All of the hanging victims must have suffered a bit as there was no drop only a slow lifting.

Thank you. When I googled "reverse hanging," I got Strappado. I could not figure out how that was being used as a method of execution. (It could be if left long enough, but it didn't make sense in the context people were using here.)

If you buy everything the US Military says about it's operations....then so sad for you. The US Military tried to spin the narrative that Saddam was some kind of coward, but the indisputable video of his hanging proved otherwise. Saddam went down HAM!

Saddam's boyz went down HAM, too - with guns ablaze.

Wow...what a family of Psychopaths!

So say anything you want about Saddam (if ya' got to do it because it makes ya' feel better), but he wasn't a coward, and we got access to the video to prove it.

I think information from the U.S. Military is more reliable than crap dropped by fleas.
