Merged New telepathy test: which number did I write ?

Have you been dangerous to yourself, Michel H?
May I suggest that these sorts of very personal questions about one's medical history are distasteful at best?

Michel's medical condition isn't really an appropriate topic for conversation. Most of us here can see that he needs medical attention, but we needn't quiz him about his condition.

With due respect, Daylightstar, please stop asking him to publicly discuss his diagnoses.

She said, and I quote:
He (meaning you) is a text book para-schiz. Until he returns to treatment, you are wasting your time and possibly harming his recovery by engaging.
Ha, the doctor was a "she". Unfortunately, I don't know what a "para-schiz" is. Was she a psychiatrist, a psychologist, a psychotherapist, a general practice physician or other?

Unfortunately, barehl, telepathy does not seem to be the great kingdom of utmost honesty. So, people may be perceiving many of my thoughts because of an exceptional phenomenon, understand it very well (because they are far from stupid) but at the same time vigorously deny it, often with an aggressivity which is perhaps typical of people who are lying.
But, if you believed that I was already receiving your messages and choosing to lie to you then what would be the point of conversing with me?

Perhaps the reason is that (I know this seems ridiculous, but it doesn't matter) I am spiritually superior, and a natural leader of the world
If that were true then everyone here would already know that. You wouldn't have to tell them.

I have had conversations with three people who were schizophrenic. Unfortunately, I have to agree with the others who have said that your reasoning fits the pattern.

The only noteworthy thing (not that it matters to you) is how similar your presuppositional arguments are to those of Ken Ham, Sye Ten Bruggencate, and Eric Hovind.

That gender makes a difference how exactly?

Paranoid schizophrenic.

Noted consultant in the NHS in London who I have known for 40+ years. Specialised in psychiatric medicine.
But I thought you didn't know any psychiatrist:
I have consulted none. Ever. ... I can tell you for a fact that if I had any inkling that I had a psychiatric issue going on I would be at the doctors so fast your head would spin. The fact is that I do not and have not. Why would I? I am not wandering around the internet claiming that everyone can hear my thoughts and are lying about it, am I?

Why would anyone do that? Why would anyone make that effort? You would simply claim that any such psychiatrist was hearing your thoughts and lying about it.

Besides which, I know none, so I can't.
...

It doesn't just fit the pattern. Michel has admitted to being treated for schizophrenia in the past.

If this were just armchair diagnosis, I wouldn't be constantly trying to get everyone posting in this thread to just shut up.

The question you quoted exists in various versions, below I assume that you object against all the versions of the question.

Michel H has himself equated his condition with his belief to be a telepath.
He says he hears voices which urge him to kill himself, and calls that a telepathy problem.
For Michel H, his condition and his claim are the same thing in the sense that he thinks his condition exists as a telepathy problem, not as a psychiatric problem.
Whatever Michel H himself brings up in an attempt to advance his claim can be discussed.

Considering the detail about his condition he has been sharing already, it could be considered to be a little strange that he refuses to indicate with what physical problem he went to hospital after which he supposedly was placed in a psychiatric ward.
If Michel H has inflicted physical harm on himself due to his condition, this would be significant information, the same for if he hasn't.

Michel H needs to face his condition.

Learn to read. I said I never had any reason to professionally consult one, not that I did not know any.

Since she specifically said not to involve her in your nonsense, go fish.

But you said "I know none", and now suddenly you appear to know one for 40 years. Are you sure your "psychiatrist" is not your ex-wife? What's her specialty, general medicine or psy?

... with about 112946 views? You might try to click 112946 times on a thread to understand more fully what this means.
This is very easy to explain. May I?
... Do you think all threads have a high view number?

Not all threads have a high view number. Threads with high view numbers are often threads with one or more proponents of an irrational belief.
These proponents are utterly incapable of substantiating their belief but carry on advocating their belief with irrational verve none the less, ad nauseam.
No logic or reason applies to these people. Such threads are often filled to the brim by them with the most ludicrous stupidity.

This attracts views. It's that simple.

You can easily verify this for yourself and see in what company this thread finds itself.

Good luck.

Which he will not do while this thread is active.

If you actually want to help him to face reality, stop posting.

Best thing to do would be to reach agreement to that effect with all the other current posters in this thread.

Most likely, new posters would come in and the whole thing will start over from the beginning, as if nothing had happened.

If this were just armchair diagnosis, I wouldn't be constantly trying to get everyone posting in this thread to just shut up.

I guess I'm missing something. How is your opinion on this any different from mine?
