I'm Sorry Aboot Posting This

I've always known Canadians are nice. In fact I plan on getting a Canadian dog, a Labrador retriever and name him Eh.

I presume you will expect Eh to stay on the north side of the bed and not invade your side.

What do Quebeckians count as? The ones I've met weren't quite as rude as the actual French, but they certainly weren't as polite as Canadians. I didn't see any guns so they're not very American, either. Fantastically great hair, though. Ridiculously good, even just out of bed, even if you'd been clutching handfuls of it for forty minutes straight. That was a good weekend. Bless you, Quebec, and rude inhabitants!

Quebecers are a subset of Canadians. Some of that subset (mostly those from Montreal or Ville de Quebec can be ruder than the average, but generally are fairly polite. They also have probably the best craft beer industry in North America.

The thread title should read: "Canadians don't know how to use Twitter."

**** you we don't, *******.

Sorry that was a joke. I'm really, really, really, really, really sorry if you took offence I really didn't mean any. I mean there is no way I could be serious as I've never met you. I'm sure you're a wonderful person, if you're ever in Ottawa I'd like to take you out for a beaver tail to apologise.

Ooh that's way more than 140 characters. I'll be damned, you're right we don't know how to use it.

Canadians aren't all that noble. Haven't you seen the documentary about their school system? Degrassi? All sorts of horrors occur there, everything from murder to teen pregnancy to Emma ending up with Spinner no I will not let that go, it was out of nowhere and totally against both characters' characters, and it only happened because they only had a handful of the regular actors agree to do that special. It would have made more sense for Spinner to end up with freaking Declan. Emma was everything he hated, and vice versa! I'm getting all angried up all over again. When I nuke Canada, you'll know why.

eta: And I'm glad J.T. died!

If Trump gets elected I'll be moving to Victoria, BC. That will decrease the politeness of both countries.

And increase the IQ of both.

(Sorry. This is what Australians say about New Zealanders. And vice versa. Couldn't resist)

They also let D. Tennant go to Victoria and affect a HORRIBLE American accent while pretending to be in California.

When you're provincial government becomes obsessed with sending adults to measure the size of letters in signage to ensure the English lettering is less prominent than the French lettering (and similarly juvenile things to "protect French culture") whenever a certain political party is running the place, you're going to develop some weird quirks. It probably also explains why Montreal has started dominating rudest city in the world polls.

When I worked for the Immigration and Naturalization Service Inspections Division on the Canadian border north of Seattle, we had a guy show up from somewhere in Africa who spoke French but not English. We asked one of our Canadian colleagues come down and help us out interpreting so we could interview the guy. We used to help them out with Spanish speakers. Canada Customs said, "yeah, we have to learn it in school but we don't do that frog talk".

Ya all got issues.
