I'm thinking of abandoning Bernie

I like Bernie. I do. I see him as slightly better than Hillary on a number of issues I care about. I have a Bernie sticker on my car. I was planning on voting for him in the primary. But the reality is that lately his supporters are really rubbing me the wrong way.

It seems I can't click on any article lately on Hillary without running into a giant pile of "DNC is conspiring to crown Shillery the new queen!" type nonsense. They act like Hillary is somehow the ultimate villain on the stage. They first complain that the debates were scheduled wrong. Then, when Bernie failed to win over anyone new in them, they complained the questions were rigged. One guy on social media claims that the debates have been run from the outset to be huge Hillary commercials. Which is strange since the original conspiracy is that no one was going to watch them.

For me it is all becoming a bit much. I don't really see Bernie as that different from Hillary who is, however, very different from the long line of sentient wet hippopotamus farts that is the GOP candidates. Really I don't. In the same way I didn't see her as that different from Obama in 2008. Bernie, I think, has become more myth than man. I think many have lost sight of their similarities having gotten lost deep in the jungle of hyperbole.

I've donated to his campaign but many Bernie Sanders supporters are complete fools. They would rather help whichever far right Republican piece of trash wins the nomination win the general election by not voting or voting third party than vote for somebody that is significantly to the left of Republicans. Complete and utter fools. I don't think there are enough of them for it to matter, but still.
 
I wasn't a Bernie fan, but then, I dislike all the candidates (and politicians in general). Hard to wrap my head around the fact that one of these dips is going to come out on top.

Amen to this part. The Paultards of yore need feel no shame in comparison to the Sanders zealots. Even Sanders supporters who self identify as skeptics operate in fact free, feeling the Bern mode (with notable exceptions of course). But that said, I don't hold this phenomenon against Sanders, and it won't influence my voting decision*.

* Everything will probably be decided before WA caucus. I can't imagine that I'll actually bother.
 
Add me to those disappointed with some Sanders supporters. It gives undo credence to those who say "they are all the same". Unfortunately in this case some are.
 
Die hard supporters of any candidate include those who don't think. I support Bernie because he stands for what I believe will work. I don't care if many of his supporters buy into nonsense.

Also, I do believe that the DNC chairwoman should have removed herself from the chair due to her close relation to Hillary. The DNC has made really strange decisions about debate dates as well.
 
I must confess, I am very disappointed in 'datagate', at first. Then Mr. Sanders did the right thing, fired the offender, apologized. You won't see better than that.
It may sound conspiracy-ish, but it did occur to me that DNC had their vendor drop the firewall purposely to see if anyone would look .DNC's subsequent actions cast doubts on their motives.(to me)
All interested could join me in my letter writing campaign to DNC to dump Debbie.
Now, there is the matter of pants-on-fire statements by Clinton, re: Trump/ Isis recruiting. I do believe Clinton lies like a rug; Sanders, not so much.
At no time have I been so disenchanted that I would prefer GOPers to get my vote.

For once I'm with you. There's a right way to rub me and a wrong way. And this is definitely the wrong way. Not that there is anything wrong with that, in general.

I never thought of Bernie as your sort of canididate anyway.

After all, he was deeply opposed to the Iraq War which you wanted.

Who would you replace her with? It just seems like anybody in the DNC would have strong professional and personal ties to candidates. That seems like just the byproduct of the passion that would attract people to the field.
 
Shame on you. Judge a thing for itself, not for how cool or uncool you judge other people who like the thing. Did you stop liking Game of Thrones just because you heard it's Snooki's favorite show? Did you stop liking stonewashed jeans just because Cindy Trampenstein started wearing them? Do you vote the opposite of however Carson Daly votes just because he's a big stupid jerk?

Own your own judgment. Be yourself, no matter what anybody else does or thinks or criminally cites you for doing in public. Be brave enough to vote for Bernie, for his is the kingdom and the power and the glory, and he will rule them all and in the darkness bind them, ia ia shub-bernerrath ftagn.

Then they probably worked for some other campaign in 2008. They would be biased in that direction.

...or they worked on the Obama campaign when she was secretary, or the Clinton campaign, or the Gore campaign who was vice president to Bill Clinton.

Give me a name for the position.

Keep in mind it would need to be someone who wants the job and can make up for her 25 years political experience
