Did anyone testify that she owned such shoes? Girls notice that sort of trivial stuff.

If they can't count the rings on a shoe, why would we expect them to get this right? This is embarrassing and disgraceful. The fact is though Grinder. The tread matches Rudy'so Nike's.

No, it isn't. The word smell or a variation of it, is used 10 times in "Darkness Descending" and none of those mentions are related to Amanda Knox.

But let me help you out. It's once again Barbie "on a mission against the Seattle message machine" Nadeau who made this thing up for her own book "Angel Face" (page 55/kindle 609):

I don't even try to find something in the testimony that "never got to court".
Just for the record: Italo Carmignani is a reporter for "Il Messaggero".

So, let's get this straight. Vixen points to Darkness Descending, for a cite about testimony about smell.

Turns out, there's nothing relevant in Darkness Descending to make Vixen's point - which probably explains why she did not simply quote it since - ah, er, there was nothing to quote.

Another Vixen wild goose chase.

And it turns out it was not court testimony to begin with. I mean, don't get me going what "smelled like sex" actually refers to, but there was a one-off alleged comment by Carmignani, which made it into Barbie Nadeau's sluttly little book. A book about the drug-fueled, sex-infested, three-some doing students of Perugia......

.... which Michael Winterbottom bought the rights to, and showed "Simone" in high-class hotels in Siena (doubling for Perugia) having sex with abandon with the other reporters - which the film says cost Simone her marriage - and doing cocaine with the best of them.

Other than all this malarkey, Vixen may be on to something.

Is this another of your wild goose chases, where when one does as you request, they find the opposite proved?

Like the pic you posted of the barred, lower window, which you said proved it was not barred?

Don't change the subject. Answer the question: if Amanda had just had a shower, why did police at the scene say she smelt of BO?

Well, considering that Methos just showed that there was no cite in Darkness Descending, that your claim was a one-off comment which made it into barbie Nadeau's book..... it was a reporter, not the police - assuming it was said at all and that Barbie just didn't make it up.

I believe the subject is as advertised. Your Darkness Descending claim is a lot like your photo you posted of the barred, lower window, which you said proved it was not barred!

Hoots!

You might want to take a closer look at pages 28-48 of Prof Vinci's analysis...

First of all Boemia doesn't have any shoe that matches what he says is a clear print. Secondly not even Massei buys B's analysis.

Massei - The Court, on this point, takes notice of the opposing conclusions without expressing a specific opinion. It cannot in fact be excluded that Guede alone tread on the cushion lying on the floor, to the exclusion of Knox (the smaller dimensions of the right foot can be explained by the characteristics of the underlying surface, the pillow, having a non-rigid structure and where the material of the pillow-slip may have been not perfectly straightened out, but, on the contrary, soft and as such determining the curvature), to whom [=Knox], actually, one [must] attribute moving herself about the murder scene essentially in bare feet, as shown in the part of the report that examines the genetic investigations that were done on certain biological traces and the positive Luminol prints.

Thirdly no reports of a missing pair of shoes from Amanda's collection.

Surely this is another area where the clever little murderess had hidden these shoes while in Perugia as she had plans to murder Meredith from before she knew her.

[...]
Well, to me it looks like all the wild geese, Vixen want's to be chased, have long since been cooked and eaten. ;)

No. In Italy, when called to a police station, it is de rigeur to take a lawyer with you. Even Albanian Kokomani knew that. OK, so Amanda being American may not have been aware, but middle-class Raff with overprotective father had no excuse.

Can you supply evidence to support this, please?

And it's de rigueur. You've been told before: if you're going to try to use "sophisticated" non-English phraseology, please make sure it's correct.

From Boemia's testimony:

Women's Shoeprint
There is a women's shoe print size between 36 and 38 that Boemia identified as an Asics size American size 6.5 which is a 37.5. It was an incomplete shoe print but Boemia could determine the size based on the heel width. The shoe could not be a man's shoe. On cross-examination this was asked more than once and every time Boemia answered that it could not be a man's shoe.

Now THAT is hilarious!

Even a strategically-shaved monkey could look at those two photos and immediately see that the pattern, implied diameter and spacing of the ring patterns on the two shoes are totally non-matching. The ring pattern on the shoe which made the print on Kercher's pillow case has shallower rings spaced WAY further apart than Knox's asics trainers. Oh and there's also the little matter of the rings facing the opposite way :p.

In fact, the rings happen to perfectly match the pattern of Guede's Nike Outbreak 2 trainers. Funny that, eh?

And that's the best the police's "experts" could do? What a bunch of frauds and tunnel-vision "evidence-matchers". Disgraceful.

It's never court testimony. It's always some book or article. And as usual, she never referred to the specific person who said it and when but somewhere in a book probably hoping that we won't or can't check. At least she points to actual court testimony about the shoe tread even though it's clear that so called "expert" is clueless.

It would take an idiot to say that shoe matches that print. There is only one aspect that is somewhat similar. Where is the cross pattern? I see NO ribs of the shoe that matches. Ooops. Another distortion. In fact, that is a partial of Rudy's shoe print.

It would indeed take an idiot to match that print to Knox's trainer. Or an inept police employee with a vested interest in finding evidence against Knox. Or a vindictive, partisan commentator with a crazed need to believe that Knox (and Sollecito) participated in this murder, when in fact neither Knox nor Sollecito had anything to do with it.

Strange - and illuminating - indeed.

De rigueur - "required by etiquette or current fashion."

Of all the Vixenesque statements made on this thread, this is the Vixenesqueiest. Vixen has reminded us, mercifully, that this wrongful conviction was not going to be adjudicated as if a crime requiring lawyers and judges....

..... but like walking a runway requiring fashion critics and behind the scenes quick changes.

Hoots!

The ring direction is old news. Amanda didn't own Asics and not even Boemia claimed the prints were left my the Asics, he only claimed that they gave a good idea of how big the shoes were from the width of the heel.

It's all in Massei

I've broken the law. Today. And I did it deliberately. I also expect I will do the same tomorrow and the day after. I drove 63 MPH in a posted 55 zone. I also regularly sin. Unlike Saint Vixen. I don't really care about anyone's minor indiscretions, vices or foibles.

Personally, I'm much more offended by those that are cruel to others and engage in reckless and dishonest character assassinations.

Can anyone name someone who does that really on this site? Anyone? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller. Bueller.

basically what I was thinking of. Even if Vixen does not drive, does she ever jaywalk or not follow all the street laws on a bicycle? Did she buy every movie and/or song she has?

Methos, any chance you could look at some of the articles about Stasi and the references to the M&B ruling?

http://www.ilsecoloxix.it/p/italia/2015/12/11/ASLY2Yj-garlasco_inchiodato_battaglia.shtml

http://www.lastampa.it/2015/12/11/i...incontrato-0t4uUiE7ERrZ7Mu87t5jRN/pagina.html

Perhaps you can find other references to M&B.
By now I haven't found any, the "La Stampa" link isn't showing up for me, but in the other one the Kercher verdict is referenced only to bring in the possibility of an acquittal without sending the case back to the appeals level, based on the "temporal proximity" of the two judgements. But I'll look further...

Thank you, in this one the only mention of the Knox case is this:
Il caso arriva davanti alla quinta sezione penale, che lo scorso marzo ha mandato definitivamente assolti Amanda Knox e Raffaele Sollecito per il delitto di Perugia. Per altro il presidente del collegio (Maurizio Fumo) è diverso, come tre degli altri quattro componenti.
A note that it is the fifth penal section of cassazione (the one that "absolved definitely" Knox and Sollecito), but that the president and three of the other four judges are different... (Why not just say that for just one judge this was a different panel?)...

Any guess as to why they would bother to mention what section and common judges? I'd bet that stories about cases at the supreme court don't usually reference a previous case.

I'm actually glad that Vixen posted what she did today. It is emblematic of the corruption of the Italian legal authorities corrupt and inept suspect centric legal process. It also typical of the guilters mindset. It's actually very sad. How many defendants have been convicted on such terrible and dishonest approach to the evidence in their cases? Amanda and Raffaele were lucky that they had the resources to refute and disprove this kind of crap.
