Howdy, everyone!

I'm a new member here and I found the forum while looking for consipiratorial things such as 9/11 (even though I have my own belief of what happened that tragic day) and other stuff. I'm looking forward to being here!

I'm 39 and I suffer with Cerebral Palsy & Hydrocephalus & Arthritis. I also deal with chronic pain issues and some days are a living hell for me, pain-wise. :(

But, I'm tickled to be here and I'm hoping to have a brand-new custom-built guitar that is a replica of what former Byrds' lead guitarist, Clarence White, played. Country singer Marty Stuart now owns White's legendary guitar. :)

Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself! Thanks for having me!!

Take Care,
Tony Trout

Hello

Hello everyone I'm Gordon. Thank you for admitting me into this forum. I hope to meet very interesting folks here and have in depth conversations. I don't really have much to say at first but just give me a chance to open up like a bud.

Welcome Gordon, you could tell us a little bit about your self, what you like to do or are interested in, that way someone here could point you in the direction of a forum you might be interested in.

I remember when I came her, about ten years ago I was an uneducated jerk. Now I am just a jerk.

But there are so many ways to learn here. I usually just learn and get on the humor page.

Thanks James for my informal education into reality.

Well I am a student studying anthropology. I like to read and write. Have an interest in art, poetry, literature, religion, politics, and history. I love social criticism as well.

Hi Skeptics worldwide.

I am pleased to see a nice community of reasonable members here.

My interests are wide, too wide.
I love science, music, history, conspiracies, politics, humour and puzzles.
I like the other subjects as well.

Looking for nice brainstorming challenges here.

Welcome Lopesito,

Nice to see your interests are, to say the least, broad. Ranging from wide to too wide.

Welcome, everyone

Well you've come to the right place if you like criticism as we have some of the best critics in the world. So Welcome and pull up a chair and have at it.

What do you mean by reasonable members? May I suggest some of the trivia games to challenge your memory.

"trivia games to challenge your memory" - not reasonable for my memory which is full and just now working on the principle FILO (First In Last Out)

"What do you mean by reasonable members?" - well posed 'Howdy' question

Nevertheless, w.r.t. the reasonable members here, it would be nice to read your personal 'IS Forum version' of "Who is who in CIA". This means explaining

(1) the mods stuff and their role / history
(2) well known 'jokers'
(3) well known banned members (and why were banned)
(4) well known members ready to start a flame in a thread
(5) well known other members
(6) threads to avoid
(7) ...

Could someone share such a "know-how" ?

Could someone share such a "know-how" ?

(1) the mods stuff and their role / history: Ask a MOD Or read the index page

(2) well known 'jokers': WHY?

(3) well known banned members (and why were banned) Most likely they broke the rules The MODS usually explain why they were banned and can be found on the index page

(4) well known members ready to start a flame in a thread: any one if you ignite them

(5) well known other members : Again WHY?

(6) threads to avoid: ones that do not peak your curiosity

(7) Have a nice day :D

...WHY?...

You could imagine that if you enter some community for the first time, e.g. as a young man visiting your future wife's family for the first time, you would like to hear that e.g. grandfather is a joker, aunt is crazy, ...

It could save some time of investigating and could prevent some troubles.

Never mind. Thank you for a big grin.

:)

I don't see any reason not to indulge this particular request. All Lopesito is asking is the explanations behind the many in-jokes that have developed over time, like why it is important to dicks ones own potatoes, and how Elton John totally copied REO Speedwagon.

The point is, that we all learn, and it can be fun. The best classes I was ever in, were classes when I laughed and was engaged in a lively debate.

So welcome. Don't be afraid to try to be funny.

The repository for post that run afoul of the MA. The post pokey so to speak. Sometimes though it is a big broom that sweeps clean. So don't get surprised if some post you make that is in compliance gets swept up as part of say a long derail.
