The Mentality of Skeptics

I'm gonna start doing this in all argument. Just claiming my opponents are "troubled" and "full of anxiety" by having to deal with the uncertainty of my obvious truths.

There is no evidence in this thread that anyone is troubled by any phenomenon.

Demonstrating such would be a good place for you to start. Go!

There's people who are troubled by the fact that they don't know if Sasquatch exist or not. I've seen them both here and on the Bigfoot forums. Some of them switch back and forth between believing that they do exist and believing that they don't, but one thing that they never do is accept the fact that they don't know.

LOL! Look what you wrote!

I was going along with his idea of "strawman" skeptic.

Yes. We are all just utterly terrified and full of anxiety over the uncertainty as to whether or not alien breed undetectable giant magic monkey men are roaming the countryside. It keeps us awake at night, pulling our hair out and questioning our very essence, nay the very nature of existence.

You're like an FBI profiler. What other secrets of our psyches can you tell us?
Well see OS says that the government already has Bigfoot in captivity both alive and dead. They won't tell us about it because it will cause panic and chaos. It's even worse because if we know aliens are making Bigfoot and bringing it here regularly it will be like double panic and pandemonium. The govt thinks that would be a bad thing to have happen. Even evolutionary theory is shot to hell because nobody knows which animals are Earthly and which were made in alien laboratories. Also the aliens can make creatures undetectable so we don't even know what the hell is here. If an animal is a super deluxe hider like Bigfoot you can't even get your hands on it to decide if it's "real" or one of the alien jobs.

It all sounds like a science fiction fantasy but OS is claiming this stuff and in this thread he's suggesting a revolution of how skepticism is conducted.

Who? Put up or shut up.

.

Almost everyone who regularly posts in the Bigfoot threads. More obvious examples are people like Crowlogic or RedRatSnake.

Evading the question. Who here, posting now?

Myself, never believed, still don't.

Well you know what you should do then? Actually provide even the tinniest shred of evidence for your magical giant monkey man. That sure would show those strawpseudoskeptics.

You, William Parcher and dmaker come to mind. Also maybe JoeBentley. Not sure about him though.

Never believed. Am certain there is no such thing.

Strike one.

ETA: I examined stills from the pgf when the thing first came out. Didn't buy him, but suspended disbelief until learned a bit more about the natural history of North America.

You are wrong OS, in a major, major way.

^This. OntarioSquatch, you are pathologically credulous, but probably an otherwise fine fellow :D

It's not that you hold with unsupportable beliefs, it's that there appears to be a fuse blown in your rationality circuits.

Are there any woo beliefs you won't defend?
