Carson: "Joseph built the pyramids to store grain"

Carson got all sorts of plaudits for his genuine achievements earlier in his life. Fair enough. But it would seem since he's retired he is still wanting the plaudits without putting in so much effort.

And the candidacy things sounds like some said to him "Hey, Ben! You've been such a good guy! You should run for president!" And Carson thought "Hell, yeah! This should be easy for someone as capable as me!"

But they can not possibly be that old, that would make them older than the creation of the world. QED.
 
So a parody edition says the tests were destroyed. He believes it and shows up to take a retest.

How is this anything to brag about? I mean, sure, it is kind of a funny story to recount but to use it as a brag about honesty?

I can't help but wonder if he was somehow conflating his memories of this with the old urban legend about the professor who lets students see the answers ahead of time by accident then waits to see who will ask for a new exam.
 
I think this illustrates the need for both knowledge and reasoning.

Carson can (obviously) learn detailed facts and procedures when it comes to neurosurgery, to the point of being considered an expert.

Carson (apparently) learned facts (loosely defined when it comes to the Bible) about Joseph and the Pyramids, and learned someone's idea (or worse, built it himself) that pyramids were grain silos. He falls down at logic and reasoning, as seems apparent here and in other aspects of his history.

To build a complete view / story requires both facts and logic / reasoning. Without one or the other one often ends up appearing foolish.
 
Maybe there's a simpler explanation: perhaps he's just high as **** all the time. That would explain his nonsense stories and his strange way of speaking. The man is tripping balls 24/7.

I doubt it would dissuade any voter that would have been part of the base supporting him already, but I don't think that by itself it's gonna bring anyone new on board.

True, but at this point it's all about rallying your base to be the loudest and noisiest to keep the media attention.

Are you sure the spelling is wrong because that's the way we say it in this mansion.

Not by itself,but in conjunction with other stuff it will help portray Carson as a kook.Not good for a presendential candidate.
