Very old joke:
Q: "What do you call the guy who graduated from medical school last in his class?"
A: "Doctor."
On the other hand, he is a doctor.

Plus, very few people can look you in the eye and lie. So they give themselves away without knowing it.
http://www.businessinsider.com/ben-carson-says-obama-a-psychopath-2015-5"I said he reminds you of a psychopath, because they tend to be extremely smooth, charming people who can tell a lie to your face with complete — it looks like sincerity, even though they know it's a lie," Carson told CNBC's John Harwood.
Combined with Trump who has a classic narcissistic personality disorder it is quite the spectacle: the narcissist confabulator and the narcissist blowhard.... or literally suffers from some kind of mental disorder. ... an indictment to how insane the Republican party has become. If he stays there...
In the commments section at one of the media sites, someone pointed out that Carson once referred to Obama as a pychopath.

.... wonders if it could be the result of declining skills and deteriorating thought processes.
And an LDS member. It's a requirement to be a Republican candidate.
Unfortunately I can do exactly that. I can tell the most outrageous lies with a perfectly straight face. This is a terrible curse to bare and I manage to restrain myself as best I can because it is very very difficult to keep the lie going as more details have to added to keep it alive and so I learned to tell the truth (mostly and at least in all the big things).
It appears that Dr. Carson never learned this lesson.

The liar has to essentially create an entire alternate reality if the lie goes on long enough and gets strong enough.
Thinking more about this I find I am boggled that most humans don't figure this out before adulthood. But, obviously, many do not.![]()
The longer he goes on, the bigger the train wreck will be when it happens.
The Guardian has a rather scary article about Carson, with a photo-gallery of Carson's house. Carson portrayed with Jesus, endless plaques and memorabilia bigging-up Carson... The man's a nutjob.

A biblical inscription is chiseled into the wall – with ‘proverbs’ spelled incorrectly
"I Love Me" walls are not uncommon. Check behind the desk of most people who have been more than a couple of years in the military and you will find something similar, so I don't really mind the wall of accolades by his pool table. The Guardian has a rather scary article about Carson, with a photo-gallery of Carson's house. The painting of himself over the fireplace is over the top, though, not least because it is atrociously done. Ditto for the painting of him and Jesus. Heavens to Betsy, but if you have the money required to buy that house and the ego to have two paintings of yourself, then spring for someone who knows how to paint.
The misspelled "Proverbs" (as "poverbs") is a hoot. Not sure what to make of it. Perhaps he noticed after the fact, refused to pay the person who did it then decided to leave it. Or maybe he never noticed which might be chalked up to him not paying attention or to him simply never going to that part of the house.
And that applies to Trump as well. So maybe Carson is just a different version of narcissist.... You got to have an ego to think you can be a good president. But to think you can be a good president and have no political experience at all going into it? That's a whole 'nuther level.
We called them "brag walls." That didn't bother me so much (although it was pretty damn extensive) as the portrait of Carson with Jesus where Carson (!) is the central figure...

Mother Jones said:Recently, I've written twice about Ben Carson and his religion. In one article, I noted that Carson, a committed and practicing Seventh-day Adventist, last year indicated that he accepts one of the church's core teaching: that during the soon-to-come End Times the government and the rest of the world's religions will join with the Antichrist to persecute Seventh-day Adventists (because they observe the Sabbath on Saturday, not Sunday) and that this will result in the imprisonment and possible execution of members of this church. In another piece, I examined whether it might be politically significant if Carson agrees with the church's view—based on the dramatic and conspiratorial prophecies of its prophet Ellen White—that other evangelical Christians are destined to end up working with Satan and the Catholic Church against Jesus Christ when he returns to Earth.
And that applies to Trump as well. So maybe Carson is just a different version of narcissist.
