Carson: "Joseph built the pyramids to store grain"

Geez louise. Someone needs to explain to him what hieroglyphs are and what they tell us. Although I doubt that would do any good. Dude's off his rocker.
He doesn't care, his followers are unintelligentm uninformed god botherers.

The grain thing is a very old mistake. The word "pyramid" derives from a Greek word they used to describe their own silos, because that's what the early Greeks thought the Egyptian pyramids were for. Apparently Carson's knowledge has about caught up to the time of Herodotus!
I think you're over-estimating how much he (and his coreligionists) have thought about the matter.

Yeah the pyramids are obviously grain storage facilities. I mean, how else would you explain the fact that they are mostly solid rock with no empty space?

And clearly also used to store dead people. It's very common to store food and corpses in the same place.

Now Carson's in a fight with the media because he really wants everyone to believe he tried to stab someone, and hit his mother with a hammer. Apparently those things are highly desirable president-material achievements? The man is off his rocker to the point where even Trump sees it.

His point is he was a bad person but saved by God so now he's a good person (the religious right eat that crap up). The problem seems to be no one else recalls such behavior from him. Of course, he's upset because the evil liberal media is trying to validate what he says.

I'll vote for him if he attacks Trump with a hammer.

With Ben Carson wanting to hit his mother on head with a hammer, stab a friend and Pyramids built for grain storage - don't people get it?

It's fun when the crazy complains about the insane.

The liberal media has vowed to destroy him. If Hillary Clinton posited this theory, the MSM would call it "provocative" and "interesting." They would invite Harvard talking-heads to lend support to the idea.

To support the idea that the Great Pyramid was built by Joseph as a grain silo? Are you sure?

What about the Step Pyramid, the Bent Pyramid, the Red Pyramid etc? Joseph was a busy boy, building all these structures in seven years, when a few pits or mud brick shelters would have suited his supposed purpose better.

And what about the Israelite slaves building the Pyramid? How does that fit in with the Joseph theory?

The nineteenth century "thinkers" who expounded plentiful woo about these structures were known as the "Pyramidiots". That excellent term now deserves another outing.

Carson Plummets in Polls Amid Reports He Did Not Stab Anyone

I had to make sure I wasn't reading the Onion when looking at the linked story.

Ha. Ha. This is from neither the Onion or Borowitz:

Ben Carson’s troubled effort to prove that he was, in fact, a juvenile delinquent

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...ve-that-he-was-in-fact-a-juvenile-delinquent/

Does any of this matter to the campaign? Come on. Of course it does.

What Carson did or didn’t do as a teenager might not be as important as his tax plan or foreign policy chops. But background stories like CNN’s and Politico's are really attempts to find out — on voters’ behalf — whether candidates are honest and trustworthy.

Carson is still ahead of the people who believe that the Pyramids were particle beam cannons.
That's a point in his favor...I guess.

I'm more conservative than liberal.

I don't subscribe to either party, but to parts of either (major) party's platforms.

When it comes to voting next November, if I have a strong feeling/belief for one of the major parties candidates, I'll vote for him/her. If not, I'll vote Libertarian.

That being said, Dr. Carson was very close to being on my "No vote list", with this pyramid clap-trap, he definitely is.
