Regarding your first point, in the absence of more information it seems more likely he was a bit nutty rather than a terrorist. He didn't try and stab them, just acted irrationally.

On reading the article, it DOES look rather like what the Americans might call "Suicide by Cop". He refused to show any identification, then lunged at one of the soldiers guns shouting "I am ISIS" .

If that is true, then it is understandable - with all the recent stabbings - that a soldier might shoot.

They didn't stop calling him a terrorist when they found out he was Jewish, per se, but when they realised he wasn't a terrorist.

How are you getting that from this:

I wanted to cover the body in a black bag [reserved for terrorists]. After I was asked to take care of the body I saw that he was a Jew, and that it was mistake to speak of a terrorist. I immediately notified the police and we switched to a white ZAKA body bag.

Possibly they assumed he wasn't a terrorist, or at the very least a pretty rubbish one, when they discovered he wasn't armed or, obviously, very dangerous.

So when was the convention held? When was the 2/3 vote? And most importantly, where is the official amended Charter?

A letter that says they're "working on a revised charter" is not the same as showing they actually revised the Charter.

There's another issue with the alledged ammedment - they cancelled "the articles that are contrary to the letters exchanged between the PLO and the Government of Israel 9-10 September 1993".

Without specifying which articles are those, the whole thing is much too open for interpretation. The most lenient, pro-Palestinian interpretation of this reads "PLO has no charter".

Needless to say, this simply isn't enough to trust them with a paperweight, much less a state.
