Well, I am a right wing loon, but, I haven't placed a scrap of support anywhere yet.
Until the time I have someone, anyone, worth my current support, I'm putting my thoughts and posting energy towards the one person I want no where near the leavers of power.
I won't even try to mask my strong distaste for the cackling granny from Arkansas one bit.
Hell, I'll take a third Obama term if that's what it would take to keep her out of the White House, at least without a tour guide present.
Frankly, I wish someone would throw a bucket of water on her and just put her out of our misery, once and for all.

This is my view, but from the other side of the aisle. The GOP now represents a great huge monolithic lie. They mouth the words of supporting individual freedoms and local rights, but that's because that's what sells best to the rubes. They have their legislation written (at the state and federal level) by a smarmy think tank, and pass onerous legislation at every turn. They stand for individual freedom about the same as the robber barons stood for individual freedom: MY freedom to take as much as I can and keep you from getting to it.

If the Dems nominated the Leave Brittney Alone guy, I'd probably vote for him over any standard bearer of The New Republican Party.
 
I'm almost an ABR&D right now... but the conundrum being that no third party so far is trustworthy enough to vote for (ignoring any perceived chances of a 3rd party winning). I want someone who can be responsible on social issues and not overdo it on the tax issues. It's a pity that the election's more likely to come down to a lesser of two evils choice rather than policy....

I lean conservative and wouldn't mind a Republican -- so long as the candidate can lead decently without polarizing the base (Rubio comes the closest here for me). I'd be fine with a democrat too maybe (Biden is my ideal choice here possibly). But current circumstances make a moderate capable of crossing the aisle very difficult right now. The two names I posted don't exactly meet the criteria but they're the closest matches - sort of. I can't exactly throw my support behind either right now though being that NPA's can't participate in primaries and one's not even running right now

Oh...I feel ya! I got to vote for the one independent who had a shot. If he hadn't stopped, and then restarted his campaign, who knows? It's actually why Bernie appeals to me. Yes, many of his ideas are off the charts. But I see him more independent. Everyone gets reigned in, once in office. So...

I'd probably bash my face in before I vote for Sanders but I agree. He's a rarity in our politics in a good way - policies aside.
 
What I will be interested to see later this week will be the reports of how much was spent in this quarter by the respective campaigns. If Hillary has actually spent much money, it really doesn't show, and I am wondering if she has?
 
Current RCP poll averages: GOP Trump's average is at 23%.

DNC: Clinton's average is at 41%.

Here's the thing: Bill could slip out of scandal like a greased pig because he was charming. That charm led people to look for excuses for his actions. But Hillary isn't charming. She's a shrill harpy. The more people see her, the less they like her, even without the scandals. And scandal fatigue is going to lead to Hillary fatigue. Perhaps people will start to ignore the accusations, but they're also going to want to ignore her.

Hillary's lead will evaporate, just like it did in 2008.

At this point, that is to be considered normal. If there were only 1½ Republicans running there would damn little news about them as well. Your post is the equivalent of reading the tea leaves when there are no tea leaves to read.

Agreed. We do need a good conservative party to keep a good balance in the country. One yearns for the likes of Dole or Howard Baker or any of such luminary to return the Elephants to the big tent and big time. Now, they're all small characters.

If they behave like they did at the Planned Parenthood hearing, HRC could mail in her campaign and win. Even the staunch pro-lifers were embarrassed.

Now that the GOP has basically admitted that Benghazigate was dump-on-HRC exercise not based in fact I wonder if Emailgate will be exposed as the same gigantic pile of horse feathers. Probably, but it will have no public effect on the Republican congresscritters. It's what they do.
