Continuation Part 18: Amanda Knox/Raffaele Sollecito

Good point since a lot of the DNA testing was done before any arrests on Nov 6th. As I recall, Amanda didn't even meet with an attorney until around Nov 8th, and that was before a scheduled hearing, which was likely the attorney's main focus that day.

It would likely have taken Amanda's defensive team several weeks to get to the point of even having a designated DNA expert attend Stefanoni's testing sessions, which would be very expensive and likely beyond the means of many defendants.

We know that Raffaele's family eventually had experts disprove many of the prosecution's claims, such as that Raffaele's Nikes had left the bloody footprints on Meredith's bedroom floor, etc.

Eventually, defense experts eviscerated the prosecution's case, but most of those experts came along later after most of Stefanoni's botched DNA work was already completed. Really, no need for defense experts to attend the DNA testing as long as the testing's EDFs are properly given to the defense, but that of course was never done.

Hello? Raff and Amanda were arrested 6/7th November. The braclasp and other items, including Rudy DNA were collected circa early Dec.

You just make things up, everything with you is conjecture, and usually badly wrong. It's embarrassing.

You are seriously ignorant about this case and yet you put yourself forward as some kind of authority.

Even Pro-Knox advocate Nina Burleigh knows about Raff's cocaine and acid history.

I don't imagine for a minute you or acbytesla are gentlemen enough to apologise. In fact you see nothing wrong in dissembling, if you think it will fool the unwary.

There is NOTHING to apologize for. It is you that are suggesting with zero evidence that Amanda/Raffaele were under the influence of acid\cocaine. You also took something entirely out of context. So AGAIN it is you that has distorted the facts. How surprising!

Again wrong. More often than a broken watch. Most of the evidence was collected and tested within days.

You are referencing Mignini's claims - you are not referencing evidence. Don't you actually read what you link to?

In characteristic pro-Knox strategy, having been caught being less than frank, you try to wriggle out of it.

This proves to me, you know perfectlly well they are probably guilty.

In all fairness Grinder, I think you are mischaracterizing what Bill has been saying. In fact Bill has been searching for and asking others if there is much or any real opposition in the the Italian media. He has not been able to find much.

I think.we can expect a little. The question he has is there this great moral outrage in the country as some have suggested.

I had a buddy who spent a month at a villa near Perugia a while ago. Going to "town" meant going to Perugia.

I got the feeling from him that the relative silence he got the few times he raised it, had less to do with people's opinions on the case.....

..... and more to do with the embarrassment of having their town associated with this.

I could accept the relative silence of Italian-guilter of Machiavelli's pedigree to do with sheer exhaustion. Just end this thing.

The only ones left seem to be those who believe as Marasca wrote - that this was a massive display of investigative/judicial incompetence from the start. If there are others they're being silent for some reason.

Here we go. Change the context. Your usual MO.

The actual context was Papa Raff having to call his boy dozens of times a day to make sure he wasn't doing anything silly with his knives, under cocaine and LSD.

Papa Raff: 8:42: Hi, son, how's it going?

Raff: Fine, papa. Gotta go.

<fx switches off phone>

Papa Raff: 23:00: Hi son, just ringing to see if you are ready for bed yet. As you have your phone switched off, I'll call you in the morning. Take care son, don't play with your knives or take drugs.

Papa Raff: 10:45: Hi son, whats a matter wid you, hey? Gotta no respect, huh?

Raff: Papa, you know that girl I met? Well, she's got me in trouble.

Papa Raff: Mamma Mia, what kinda trouble?

Raff: You know what you said about drugs and knives...?

Papa Raff: Ye-es?

Raff: Amanda's roommate has been stabbed to death...

brrrrrrrrr

Well I guess that's just as real as all your other evidence.

Er, you yourself keep complaining the bra clasp wasn't collected for 42 days. Go figure.

No, again wrong. That wasn't collected for 46 days. But the vast majority unlike your earlier posts was collected within days.

So the cops didn't bungle after all. Make your mind up.

WOW! <SNIP> I just proved you lied earlier and then you throw up a red herring and silly commentary.

Well let's see.

Did they collect the victim's bra during the first evidence collection?

Did they collect the victim's bloodied clothes?

Did they test a possible semen stain found under the victim?

Did they take the victim's body temp?

Did they know how to swab for DNA correctly?

Did they know they were supposed to use clean gloves?

Do you think they bungled?

Who or what are you responding to? It cannot be me. Your relentless rants are entirely disconnected from the subject matter most of the time.

Mignini was a liar who made claims about Amanda and Rafaele and the things he decided they said, which had no basis in fact.

Your fat, balding little hero is an exasperating bore who broke the law, lied, conspired, got caught and had his reputation trashed.

So the cops didn't bungle after all. Make your mind up.

When the CSIs didn't know the tune they were supposed to dance to, they actually got some real work done.

46 days later, what by then was a suspect centric farce, the were hopelessly corrupted.

I have made a religious pledge not to engage V****, and it was js202 who administered the oath.

So you don't know how hard I had to bite my lip when V**** said that the striation in the kitchen-knife was visible in "special light". Acc. to Judge Massei, that "special light" was an ordinary desk lamp. The "special procedure" Stefanoni used to see a striation no one else in all of creation ever saw was to move the blade slightly from side to side under that lamp. (No, not *THAT* lamp!)

And for those who claim that the striation is now visible in photos.... both Stefanoni and Massei go out of their way to declare that the phantom-striation is NOT visible in photos.

So rather than suggest that V**** has, once again, simply invented something out of thin air, I will go back to my js202-afflicted discipline of not commenting.

You're a good guy, Bill Williams. I do genuinely mean that.:)

I'm sorry, what does that mean?

It's an acronym for "quod erat demonstrandum" - which translates as "that which had to be proven". It's most usually used a) classically, at the end of mathematical proofs, and b) more generally, when an argument has been proved. It was employed in the latter sense in this instance :D

Wow, blasphemy. I am really shocked.

Commandnent #1 Thou shalt not take the Lord's name in vain.

Anyway, according to biblical law, it takes two witnesses to make a pledge.
