Sharp erosion in Clinton support among Democratic women

This just gets better, every day!
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Hillary Rodham Clinton is suffering rapid erosion of support among Democratic women — the voters long presumed to be her bedrock in her bid to become the nation’s first female president.

The numbers in a new Washington Post-ABC News poll are an alarm siren: Where 71 percent of Democratic-leaning female voters said in July that they expected to vote for Clinton, only 42 percent do now, a drop of 29 percentage points in eight weeks.

Ouch!

The sound of crickets, from the Shillaries, is deafening!:D:thumbsup:

Oh, noes, Clinton is still an 18 point favorite to get the Democratic nomination, and is polling as the winner in every head to head match up against Republican candidates.

Of course the fact that the person long favored to get the nomination as well as the Presidency is still favored doesn't really need new posts to remind those poor folks cheering on the GOP Clown Car, does it?

eta: Oh, look, info from that political wizard of blogs, Nate Silver's FiveThirtyEight, shows Clinton has more endorsements ("among the best predictors of which candidates will succeed and which will fail") than any Democrat has had at this stage of their campaign by far (going back to '84), and more than double every other candidate of both parties put together.

Yep, people can smell your fear! Clinton ship is taking on water fast. Hope y'all have life boats. Ya gonna need'em!

Down goes Clinton!!!!!

Hmm, random colors? Large fonts? Extra punctuation? Bluster that is not only unsupported by facts, but is actually contradicted?

Well, gosh that sure is convincing.

Oh, wait, I'm not a conservative, so no, it's not.

I hope the democrats nominate Bernie sanders

This guy is a wacko

He is a jewish new yorker who took his message of socialism to small town vermont where he could spread his message of... wait for it

total state control

but its OK because everything is racist

Much as i hate to be on the other side on this... individual polls dont mean crap. The trends are what you need to pay attention to. If polls continue to trend on hillary's decline im willing to put more weight on it. But until such a trend is fully established i will not. People always have short term memory when it comes.to elections and polling

I suppose a check on rcp and similar records should give some indicator without needing the snapshots

I'm not in a panic, because I would vote for Hillary, Joe Biden, OR Bernie Sanders. So I'm sitting pretty happy at the moment.

Why people shouldn't make so much of Clinton's dropping poll numbers. It's par for the course when she goes from non-candidate to candidate reflecting partisan attacks.

Hillary Clinton's Favorability Ratings Are Right In Their Normal Groove

Agreed, we're just working on them a bit, giving them a little heart burn. ;)

And some of us are just posting in this thread to keep it active for the next sixteen months so that your lulz come back and bite you in the ass. Y'all gonna be remembered for "Hillary Clinton is Done" like Brainster's remembered for "Sarah Palin is the New Face of the Republican Party". And a lovely thread it is. Because "done" could be any milepost. I safely predict that the day after the election the partisan hacks will be here explaining that they were right and she didn't get 400 electoral votes and only polled 56% of the women's vote and not 65%. (Well, not you, of course. I predict you'll run off again like after you totally blew the call on the 2012 election.)

See, here's the thing. The GOP are the leaders for the ABH camp because they can beat the pants off Biden and O'Malley and Warren and Sanders AND THEY KNOW IT. In fact, they could probably beat the pants off of Hillary (now there's an image that'll get some of you going), too. But they can't beat Bubba. Neener neener neener! And, if as I suspect, Bill's going to call in an IOU from the '08 and '12 campaigns, they not only have to beat our first black president (B. Clinton) but also our second. Bill campaigned himself to hoarseness for Obama. I doubt that was for a cabinet posting for his wife; Obama was going to give her a prominent spot, anyway. I think it was a quid pro quo for Hillary's turn once Obama got his eight years.

I dunno. I tend to think of Sarah Palin as the face of the Republican Party.

Maybe in your neck of the woods you missed something! BO never needed Slick Willie. Hell, he B**** slapped them already! He crushed the Clinton machine!

That knife you speak of cuts both ways! I will enjoy laughing at MANY of you, when Slick Willamina goes down hard!

Are we nominating for Poster Boy of Low Information Voters? You seem to have missed the general election. Obama will not come out for Hillary in the primaries. The POTUS generally avoids even endorsing his own Veep. But, if he owes them for the stumping Bill did in '08 and '12 in the general election (and he owes them), it'll be paid back when it gets to the general election in '16.

The Dems have a clear leader. The nomination process is as largely determined in the caucuses as in the primaries, and I don't think the mainstream Dem machine that's backing Hillary is going to lose much ground in the caucuses to Sanders (the only candidate with a realistic chance of getting any support), who has no ground organization at all. The only bumps in the road will be bumps in the road, not major craters or sink-holes that the Billary Bus will disappear into. Of course the GOP will probably have some video of her jaywalking that they'll trot out, but the vote's going to return to right-of-center, a position occupied by Bill and Hill. Three years of Benghazi!! and a year of "Homebrew Cowboy Server" are not going to do it and the Scandal of the Week isn't going to, either. Carville (the family hatchet man) and Bill will wait out the early battles.

Yep, you missed the point! Enjoy the ramble!
