Two American passengers overpowered a heavily armed guman on Friday on board a high-speed train from Amsterdam to Paris, prosecutors said.

There was no immediate confirmation whether they were the two people injured during the confrontation on the Thalys train. Paris prosecutors said the guman was arrested.

French police say the suspect was known to intelligence services and is of Moroccan origin.

OTOH, it's CNN, so it wouldn't entirely surprise me if they got some facts wrong. Like maybe they're not Marines, but rather Marine Biologists.

I'm eager to hear if this turns out to be true. Those Marines will have a big welcome coming back home if they did indeed stop the gunman from harming (or killing) more people. Here is what NPR is saying:
