Continuation Part 16: Amanda Knox/Raffaele Sollecito

A person going to the guys' flat, descending the outside steps along the side of the cottage and then walking on the sidewalk to the downstair flat's door, could not from that position see the upper flat's balcony door. It is not visible. To see it, a person would have to move away some distance from the side of the building. At night, it is much more obscure. Mignini looked at it in daylight.

Does anyone recall if the balcony door's green wood shutters were open or shut the night of the attack?

They were open the next morning because that is one of the ways Amanda says light got into her room.

From Amanda Knox testimony 2009-06-12:
GCM: And what window was it coming from, this natural light?

AK: I only have one window, but it was also coming from the other side because there's a balcony.

GCM: And the door of the bathroom? Meredith's door was closed so no natural light was coming from there. Outside, there's the little corridor, the living room, Romanelli's door, and Laura Mezzetti's door. Which were the doors that let in light?

AK: The door of the balcony on the other side of the corridor, which lets in light, and then there was the window.

GCM: So, from the balcony, the corridor, the light actually reached your room?

AK: Yes.

...

To illustrate: imagine if Guede had claimed that he'd been with Kercher, that they'd done the sexual fumbles between around 9.10 and 9.20, but that they'd then just cooled down and talked for another 45 minutes or so and that he'd left at around 10pm. If somebody then came forward and said they'd heard a loud, terrified woman's scream at around 9.20pm, this would immediately destroy the entire credibility of Guede's story.

But if you look at what Guede knew or should have known at the time he first wrote about hearing a scream, the scream, invented by Mignini durring Amanda's interrogation, was already reported in the press. Even if Rudy doesn't exactly remember a scream, he thinks the police already know that there was one. Rudy of course knows that Meredith could not have screamed after he butchered her throat so there had to be a scream first even if he cannot remember it.

Actually Knox and Lumumba. The switch from PL to RG wasn't at Mignini's choice.

What do you mean it wasn't at his choice? I was under the impression that he runs the show. Who gets charged,,,,etc. I've read quotes where he says he doesn't have a choice, but in reality that is a lie.

No, apparently you don't get it. Or you wouldn't refer to Mignini as a successful detective. You wouldn't be referring to claims by Mignini as if they were indisputable facts.

I wish you got it. Just like I wish creationists and global warming deniers "got it". But alas....sigh.

Sorry, this is a forum so perhaps you and Katody Mattras can clarify what point you are making?

Are you saying, "We hate Roman Catholics. Mignini is one, therefore we have nothing but contempt for him as we ourselves are atheists or even satanists"?

Discuss.

I challenge anyone to conduct this social experiment: find a similar place where people tend to walk down a confined path intended for cars and see how often they look back when the sound of a car behind them can be heard.

There was no positive identification of Rudy on any CCTV tape. Rudy himself provides the times of his arrival and departure from the cottage which are compatible with his guilt. Yet he claims the CCTV images are not him. I tend to believe this as there is no reason for him to lie about it.
The police also claimed the same images belonged to Patrick's friend and alibi Usi. They will make whatever claim suit them at the time. It is clear they are pathological liers. Never believe what the police and prosecutors say. Make them produce the evidence.

These discriptions of a chair turned over, a sweatshirt taken off and left on a chair in the kitchen, papers knocked from the shelf and the drying rack upset come only from Rudy's statements. There's is no physical or forensics evidence to support them except for a free papers on the floor in the hall.

The three exits from the cottage are: the front door which was likely locked with a key, Meredith's window (a 3+ meter drop in the dark) and the patio.

The bloody shoeprint trail from the murder room stops at the far end of the kitchen table (where Rudy says he left his sweatshirt), there is a partial step towards the front door then backs away without compleating that step and finally steps in front of the couch and paces in place while always facing towards Meredith's room and the other exits. In is my beliefe that Rudy at this point is contemplating how to get out of the cottage and ultimately decides to return to Meredith's room to find the keys.

The person in the grainy image appears to be wearing the same quilted jacket Rudy was wearing when captured in Germany.

My armchair diagnosis of Rudy is that he is sociopath who thus expects instant gratification, most specifically, Anti-Social Behaviour Disorder. This means IMV he is a compulsive liar who will say anything to frustrate the police, whom most criminals hate and despise with a vengeance.

Antony brings up an interesting point 100% for sure. Why didn't the PLE just phony up evidence on Lumumba and just fit the murder to a time that the professor went to the bathroom or to his hotel. Since the PLE immediately recognized Rudi's MO and he was their informant and they had already decided to frame the kids, it is obvious knowing someone was innocent wouldn't impact their actions.

Stefano Bonassi Statement 3-Nov-2007: http://www.amandaknoxcase.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/Stefano-Bonassi-Statement-3-Nov-2007.pdf

Some interesting things in there....

I left the duvet over the two bed cushions to avoid them getting covered with dust.

The small bathroom is used by all to shower and we leave the window open, as a rule, to let the shower floor dry up.

I don't know what to say regarding the blue pillowcase stained with blood because it was hanging and clean when I left.

I don't know how to explain the traces of blood on my duvet given that my door was locked with a key as well as the window.
Now I'm off to find a pic of the blue pillowcase he says was hanging when he left.

DanO, since you have been a skeptic regarding the suggestion that the blood and other evidence downstairs was due to the entry there of Meredith's murderer (based on available evidence, Guede) rather than the bleeding cat (as proposed by the prosecution, Stefanoni, and Giobbi), do you have any opinion on the witness statement of Stefano Bonassi linked above?

But he did come up with the Masonic ritual thing, so he deserves some credit for his fine detective work.

Detectives do have to consider all angles and then rule them out. When I was in insolvency practice, we had to deal with all sorts of crooks. You really do have to try to put yourself in their shoes, so you do need good imaginative skills. You have to reconstruct how they might have laundered the money, distributed the proceeds of crime, or hidden assets and cash from HMRC and creditors, etc.

The more likely approach of Mignini and the Perugian police would be to include the professor as one of the conspirators in the murder. Then the authorities wouldn't need to determine when the professor went to the bathroom and for how long.

That certainly would have been a good way to go. By then they knew Rudi was safe in Germany. I'm surprised they hadn't rung up Interpol to give him free reign throughout the Schengen region.

Mignini came up with the Masonic ritual claim in this case, but it was a virtual replica of the claims he made in his Narducci trail cases, the excesses for which he had just then been indicted for along with Michel Giuttari.

And Mignini's description of a "rite related to Halloween" is a virtual copy of giuttari s explanation from his book on the purpose of the MOF serially killer stealing women's sex organs as a "sacrificial rite" called a mors lusti, which was most effective if the victim was killed at the moment of sexual orgasm. So basically, a "B" horror movie scenario.

But it was Giuttari who made a cottage industry out of the fraudulent hoax that a satanic sect was responsible for the Monster of Florence murders, based on the testimony of Giuttari's 'algebraic witnesses', which were also used by Mignini again in his Narducci trail case against the pharmacist Calamandrei, a case which was falling to pieces in ridicule in Florence at the time of the Kercher killing.

But the origin of the satanic sect theory came from the 'algebraic witness Gamma', who was a homeless end-stage alcoholic prostitute named Gabriella Ghiribelli, polished with esoteric trimmings of the self-styled psychic medium Gabriella Carlizzi (who got her "illuminations from a dead Vatican priest and exorcist Father Gabriel and who had died in 1984?), and of course Giuttari's own voluminous "research".

The vendetta of Mignini and Giuttari against journalist Mario Spezi was nothing but a conflict of Giuttari and Mignini being able to continue to peddle their fraudulent hoax, and profit from their association with, and claim to having solved the infamous Monster of Florence murders.

The greatest irony of all, is that Spezi was (and may still be) prosecuted for naming the Monster of Flroence serial killer as Antonio Vinci (in the book he wrote with Doug Preston, MOF), while the man very likely to be the actual serial killer, Vinci, is protected by the Justice system because his "good name" has been insulted.

It's an incredible story really. But the trials of Amanda Knox and Raffaele Sollecito never had anything to do with them, imo. It was always about the professional convenience of Giuliano Mignini. Guittari really seems to have escaped criticism and consequences, but the truth is, both Mignini and Giuttari need to forfeit any and all of their proceeds of their fraudulent hoax, and spend several years in prison for their crimes.

To be fair, the murder did happen on the eve of All Souls and All Saints or whatever, one day after Halloween. It's reasonable for investigators to consider whether that might be significant, perhaps delayed from halloween. The fact it was a Thursday, the satanist's sabbat, as opposed to Jews/Seventh Day Adventists Friday start of the Sabbath, has to be considered as a null hypothesis, to be rejected if it doesn't fit. There was blood from the black cat downstairs. The victim had dressed as a vampire. Both Raff and Amanda made much about Mez having vampire blood make up on her chin when they saw her earlier that day. The body was found in the same position as in Raff's manga comic, found in his appartment, 'Blood, the Last Vampire Slayer', with similar blood marks on the wall.

The footprints found were strangely one-legged. The tecs have to puzzle out why. A masonic ritual (based on ancient Egyptian beelzebub/basphamet worship) involves one foot.

Why shouldn't detectives consider all of these possible explanations?

I have known third degree grandmaster masons and satanists (who thought it fun to prance around Highgate Cemetery at night). In the days of the Beatles' Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club they even had satanist Aleister Crowley on the cover. Lots of people lived by Crowley's adage, "Do thou what thy willst", as rebellion against "the Establishment".

Are you claiming masons and satanists do not exist?

What is your problem with cops investigating this angle?

I see there being several options:

1. Stefano is lying. The bed and fittings were bloodied before they left for the weekend and he is taking the opportunity to blame the mess on somebody else.

2. There was indeed somebody in the apartment below while the boys were out of town and we know who she was. The possibility exists that she unlocked the door thus letting the cat in then on a subsequent visit started dealing with the mess before returning to her own apartment.

3. An intruder broke in, somehow had a key to that bedroom door to unlock it, proceeded to trash the room leaving blood everywhere then locked the door again.

4. The police needing to solve the crime upstairs quickly started modifying the downstairs apartment to fit-up the forieners close to the victim before discovering that the boys all had air tight alibis.

NO.

The point is clear. That Mignini is a moron with a wild over imaginitive mind that creates ghosts and goblins that are not there. And his irrational mind turns non believers into satanists. He sees Masons as an enemy of his faith.

Also, contrary to your declaration that you "get it", you in fact, don't.

I think his alibi was just too strong. But I unlike others do not believe that the police recognized or should have recognized his MO. I think that idea that is absurd.

Isn't this what they tried to do? They had a witness testifying his bar was closed, even though it was open. The PLE never seemed to have trouble finding a witness to back up any of their claims.

Please give me a citation wherein Mignini claims the Kercher murder was to do with masons or satanists.

Mignini is entitled to his personal faith. So what if he's a Catholic? Does the Pope pray?

"Mignini always included witch fear in his murder theory, and only reluctantly relinquished it. As late as October 2008, a year after the murder, he told a court that the murder “was premeditated and was in addition a ‘rite’ celebrated on the occasion of the night of Halloween. A sexual and sacrificial rite [that] in the intention of the organizers … should have occurred 24 hours earlier” — on Halloween itself — “but on account of a dinner at the house of horrors, organized by Meredith and Amanda’s Italian flatmates, it was postponed for one day.”"

Nothing, as long as it doesn't keep them from doing the hard, factual kind of detective work that actually solves crimes - like, for example, a comprehensive grid search of the area immediately below Romanelli's room, instead of merely hanging around down there, smoking cigarettes and generally trampling all over potential evidence.
