It doesn't compare because Hillary's conduct was intentional, pervasive, dishonest and in my view demonstrates that she is not fit for the position as dog catcher let alone President.

Hope that clears up any lingering confusion.
Unfortunately, this doesn't change the fact that Hillary R. Clinton's little scandal is the Democrat equivalent of a throwback to 2007. Thanks for doing the service of posting these news bits, but it goes straight back to my objections with the thread. You're spending a lot of time hammering Clinton and missing the trees in the forest. I get it... She's a sleaze bag... her trustworthiness should fall under question. Her efforts undermine the governments obligations to retain records for FOIA requests. It's not the conspiracy theory some people went hyperbole over. But needling and singling out one politician only goes so far in taking care of the problem as far as I am concerned. Her example is worth mentioning, and bringing up as a reminder of her qualifications, and I am fully aware "punishing her" is a way to show action to discourage such behavior.... I'm just trying to figure out how the obsession with her single handedly will ultimately start the move the dial into taking the broader step of removing the avenues that enable it. All I am seeing is a replay of 2007 with the roles reversed.

But she is running for president.....

For Pete's sake

A judge has ordered State to start turning over the Clinton trove of emails stating in July and continuing into September.

Unbelievable. Thanks Hil for sitting on those documents for a couple of years! Keep this in mind the next time someone claims that Hills has cooperated or that any of the entities investigating the scandals that blew up during Hillary's tenure at State have been able fully investigate to date.

No surprise, Hillary's belated turn over of some of her emails has essentially paralyzed the State Department's FOIA division:

State Dept. can’t fulfill your FOIA because it’s overwhelmed by Hillary e-mails

Remember, Hillary thought it would be more convenient to set up a cowboy server in her basement, run the State Department off a personal email address and to delay a couple dozen months before actually turning over the government documents in her possession.

The department on Friday asked U.S. District Court Judge Rosemary Collyer for a six-month extension to turn over the documents. State said there’s been a huge “surge” in FOIA lawsuits in the last year alone, suits that “have grown increasingly burdensome and complex.”

Blame it on Hillary, folks....

I can't even roll my eyes hard enough. Don't you ever get sick of seeing yourself cherry pick lines, make **** up, and overall disregard the facts of what you're attempting to represent. Everyone here has said that you have some points, but at this stage in the game you're hurting yourself more than helping. Per your article:

State says its document-reviewing personnel are too overwhelmed by reviewing those 55,000 pages of e-mails former secretary Hillary Clinton turned over last year to do much else.

THEY'RE REVIEWING THE DOCUMENTS SUBMITTED BY HILLARY TO MAKE THEM PUBLIC TO THE PEOPLE. The same damn thing you've been asking for during this whole thread. I mean, seriously, get a grip.

The reason they're behind is because the people that generally handle FOIA requests are busy reviewing the documents so that the American people can view them. I'm saying this a few times because I have concerns with regards to reading comprehension, and overall understanding. She didn't run the State department out of her *********** basement, or out of a server or whatever. The State department isn't one person, it seriously saddens me that had to be explained at this point. You'd think through all of your research you'd have a better understanding.

Anyway. I guess it's about time to abandon this thread and let it turn into another "16.5 replies to himself ad nauseum about issues no one else really seems to give a **** about" thread. You've already got the Benghazi one, might as well make it two. You've received, what? 1 reply in that thread from someone other than you in the last 10ish posts.

By the way, in a rather dramatic act of "bowing out of the thread" a poster had this to say:

THEY'RE REVIEWING THE DOCUMENTS SUBMITTED BY HILLARY TO MAKE THEM PUBLIC TO THE PEOPLE. The same damn thing you've been asking for during this whole thread. I mean, seriously, get a grip.

Why don't we take a gander at what I said two months ago?

In an appalling act of cynicism, Hillary Clinton requested that the State Department release the emails that she and her legal team culled through and gave to them less than two months ago. What about the six years of FOIA requests, what about the subpoenas, what about the Court orders that you caused State to violate Hillary?

What about the other documents that your phalanx of lawyers said you didn't have to turn over?

So the person telling me to "get a grip" has intentionally misrepresented my position (as should have been obvious to avid readers of the thread)

the purpose of today's news was to show just how royally Hillary Clinton had screwed the State department and people actually using FOIA to get information, all because of her grossly selfish paranoia and contempt for governmental transparency and accountability.

I am less interested it what Hillary chose to turn over than I am in what she chose to destroy.

Grip gotten, thanks for posting.

Saw it... Only saw it on Fox and a few of the conservative sites... either it's being ignored by the media, or it's not being considered big enough as news. I'm waiting to see what turns up before I pass any judgement

Michael Morell: Foreign governments have Hillary's email

“I don’t think that was a very good judgment,” he added of Clinton’s decision to use the private server for official State Department business. “I don’t know who gave her that advice, but it was not good advice.”

“She’s paying a price for it now,” Morell said of the server. “It was not good.”

“I think that foreign intelligence services, the good ones, have everything on any unclassified network that the government uses,” Morell said Friday in an interview on the Hugh Hewitt Show.

Because ... reasons. And book promotion.

I'm not a big fan of his, of course, but he has been around the block.

You're a thorn in the side of the Hillary apologists, 16.5. Still, I don't think you are enough of a thorn, we're still looking at our next President, IMO.

State Department plans on turning over Hillary emails in 2016.

So that just happened.

Thanks Hillary.

Since she is no longer in charge of the state dept, how is is their timeliness her responsibility ?

Because she failed to archive them on an on-going basis or to even turn them over when she left, preferring instead to dump them on the State Department almost two years later.

So they are looking at emails from 2009 in 2015.

Thanks Hillary.

You're a thorn in the side of the Hillary apologists,
I don't believe there is one "Hillary apologist" contributing to this thread. There are a lot of people who are questioning the validity of the claims, questioning the "evidence" being provided, and questioning the value of the inquisition. People shouldn't confuse genuine skepticism with being an apologist.

Whelp... now we know that her excuse of only wanting to have one email address is a lie...
