No, no surely self defence. All the shooter has to say is that he was in genuine fear for his life. Who wouldn't when around someone with George's history of violence......

A little refresher:
Police said a driver accused George Zimmerman of threatening to kill him while on the road in Lake Mary on Tuesday.

The man told police he was driving on Lake Mary Boulevard on Tuesday morning when he came to a stop light next to a gold Honda Ridgeline.

The driver said he turned to look at the vehicle and saw two people, one of which was Zimmerman, yelling at him.

When he rolled down his window, he said Zimmerman said, "Why are you pointing your finger at me? I (expletive) kill you. Do you know who I am?"

The driver said he pulled into a Circle K to call police, and Zimmerman again drove by and yelled at him.

Then on Wednesday, the man called police again, saying Zimmerman was parked outside his workplace on Waymont Court.

Lake Mary officers located Zimmerman in his vehicle -- a Honda Ridgeline -- and pulled him over. He told police he was in the area to go to a doctor's appointment.

Zimmerman acknowledged the incident on the road two days before but said the alleged victim exaggerated the story.

He was let go, and no charges have been filed.

The CNN story quotes the shooter as saying that this was the 3rd time he was in an argument with Zim. Zim waved a gun at him, so he quickly took out his gun and shot Zim.
 
This was as predictable as the sun rising in the east. Until GZ is locked up, he will be a threat to the general public. Afterward, he'll be a threat to the prison population, but most of them are just as or more threatening than he is.

It seems like both parties in this are hyper-confrontational gun nuts.

I guess an armed society is not always a polite society.

USA Today reports:
Lake Mary Police Department tweeted that it was "responding to a shooting involving George Zimmerman." Lake Mary Police Chief Steve Bracknell said it appeared Zimmerman suffered a minor gunshot wound, WESH in Orlando reported. A lawyer for Zimmmerman, however, told AP that the bullet missed Zimmerman, who was hit with broken glass.

TV news images showed what appeared to be a single bullet hole in the passenger side window of a pickup truck said to be Zimmerman's. Bracknell said the shooting may have involved an "ongoing dispute" he did not detail.

"He walked normally into the ambulance, so he wasn't being helped or nothing," witness Ricardo Berrare told WESH. News story link

George was reportedly waving a gun. I've lost count the number of times various gun enthusiasts have proclaimed an action like this as justification for killing someone. A victim doesn't wave a gun at someone. An idiot does.
