Moneymakin'! The BFRO Bigfoot Expeditions Thread.

I've always been dubious of the whole stick structure concept. I've had a hard time trying to figure out why they would take the time to do them. I have noticed that many of these structures do occur near game trails, so it's possible they are markers. Again, I'm dubious.

For the ones that are obviously not natural, there is always the explanation they were built by humans. Here is an example of one that is not natural along with the assessment.

From your link:
I cannot rule out that this one could have been built by people.

Of course you can't rule it out because that's who built it, people. Jesus Christ, isn't it obvious who built this and why?

Hint: It's near a game trail.

Did you read the entire assessment or just cherry pick out the one link you liked best?

No. I read the whole assessment, right to this line:
Furthermore, as the witness reported to me over the next several months, the structure kept changing, often at night when the park was closed. Both the structure and the trail were being maintained by something.
I know what that something was, and why the structure changed at night.

Do you?

Seems like bigfoot wouldn't have any need for a deer hunting blind.

Bigfoot can stalk and catch feral hogs on the fly. A deer should be easy.

Plus, with a 4 foot tall entrance, signs of the big fella should be all over the place, what with him having to crawl in.

Plus, Plus, bigfoot smells like a predator. He'd have to have the blind up wind of the deer.

What's the point of a permanent blind if the prey might smell you, and you don't use weapons to hunt?

Bigfoot has to get close to the deer. Very close. This blind wouldn't allow that, it seems.
It doesn't look like you could swing an arm inside that thing to throw a rock, even.

Wouldn't bigfoot simply use the available terrain to hide in waiting for deer? That way he can move with the wind, and take advantage of whatever cover is available, and still chunk a hunk of rock at a deer.

With a permanent blind, the blind is very likely to be unusable if the wind or lighting is wrong.

That blind looks totally ineffective for deer hunting unless you are using a bow or a firearm.

They see/imagine the call of the wild (as bigfoot) instead of hear it. I think people understand there's no such creature tangibly out there, but this fact might not make it any less important if it haunts the recesses of their minds as some sort of psychological defect.

Nicely put. The wild man free and untamed is calling to the suburban slave who, in jealousy, wishes to chain it and tame it.

.. addition to the BLAARG idea, because it allows a reason outside of simple, blatant dishonesty for people clinging to the myth the way they do. Or I just have a bad habit of wanting to give people the benefit of the doubt.

I know what you mean; I really don't like to think that the humans who surround me are dishonest and manipulative. BOtD provides me with mental relief. Perhaps I'm the deluded one!

Hey, I just saw a Squatch; grabs vacuum cleaner and usb cable; cries battle and lets slip the bolts on door!

Have you forgotten that bigfoots run down deer and break their back legs?

Yup.

This is why dozens of pretty co-eds fell for Ted Bundy, why the elderly fall for Ponzi schemes, why we vote for pathological liars, and why we fall for car salesmen's tricks.

Learning to be deceptive and manipulative is dangerous to society because once learned, it can be applied in all their affairs.

But learning how they operate provides us the ability to spot it wherever we encounter it and defend ourselves from it.

The very first principle is trust: when you spot this behavior, you better stop being gullible with them.

Since bigfoot can leap 45' minimum I can't see any need to sneak up on anything.

The part he forgot about is explaining how nasty you get to be in proselytizing others - calling them names, insulting real scientists and skeptics, disparaging the experience of everyone else who is actually in the woods you never go to...

I guess that is sort of "not losing childhood" - where we act like one who doesn't get his way so he throws tantrums.

Bigfoot walk in our minds, using our feet. We press him into the soil of our dreams and remember his face when the morning comes. Hold onto that moment, pretend. We do not want to lose childhood.

Concerning the two main causes of Bigfoot (per skeptics), the crux of the matter in just two posts.

One side says Bigfoot is just a harmless romantic notion, probably acquired in one's youth, and which produces no discernible negative effect. Bigfoot provides only hope and nostalgia. Cause it's just big ole cuddly Bigfoot. It also has the perpetual upside of two more heaping bowls of romanticism in the morning, every morning. Life's good!

While the other side says "Yeah sure that's all fine and dandy Mr. Keats, but what about the way these dip ***** treat everyone else as they perform all this romanticism? The antisocial, mean-spirited, dishonest way they approach literally every sentence they write? Got any poetry for that plight? Maybe something that rhymes with duper and delight?"

P.S. Not picking on Donn specifically, he's just in the line of fire. :p

That's new. I've heard stories before of supposedly supernatural monsters/creatures/whatevers running alongside cars traveling at speed, but this is the first time I've ever encountered someone claiming it was a bigfoot doing it.

Such a speed rules out any kind of natural animal, certainly a bipedal one.

Anyone want to join me out in the woods for a weekend of car camping in northern Minnesota next month? Would love to have a skeptic along. I'll even pony up half the cost of the fee out of my own pocket. What do you say?

http://sasquatchresearchers.org/sra-2015-sasquatch-expeditions/

I'm not sure many skeptics would like to pay you in order to camp next to you? Why are you charging people to go camping when you provide them with nothing? I camp all the time without having to pay someone to act like bigfoot is there.

You don't have to go looking, but I will be.

Is looking for bigfoot the same as walking through the woods?

I can do that, but I see how Cervelo got used by a bigfooter...

I don't recall any descriptions of exactly what it means to look for bigfoot.

I generally don't go looking for dangerous animals.

I'm not signing any NDA's or keeping anything secret, anyway.

I wouldn't fit in. I would be giggling at the believers too much, and I'd get kicked out. :)
