Hobby Lobby and the Jewish Problem

Is all about another ******* move from those wonderful people who gave us no abortion insurance for employees. I do plan to go to HL stores in the area to ask for help finding a Bar Mitzvah card - hoping to get one of the (as mentioned in the article) "Oh, we don't carry things for you people...our owner is a christian...". Whether I get that or not, I also plan to ask "Well anyway I would like to get a card for a nice lady in our office who just had an abortion!!!..."
 
Still going on is the problem. Feel free to google. And, as a technical, it may be older news (that got overlooked in the abortion flummery), but it still is real - and was not covered here according to search...........
 
MUST FIND SOMETHING TO RAGE ABOUT!!! ARGGGH! Domestic slaves kept in the US? **** that! Nothing but a distraction! This Hobby Lobby nonsense is the MOST IMPORTANT GODDAM THING EVER!!!
 
But seriously, what's telling is the immediate reaction to just go and be a dick. Not try to get to the bottom of it or try to make the world a better place in any way, no, just go and be a dick.

Wait... what exactly is the story here? That some Hobby Lobby employee was a jackass? That Hanukkah items aren't big sellers among Hobby Lobby customers? :confused:

If an employer is responsible for the actions of every employee regardless of whether the employee is following policy or not, the Federal Government is in real trouble, along with every company in the world.
 
For those who missed or were unclear about it, the employee turned out to be telling the truth (albeit in a stupid way) - even in areas with a number of potential Jewish customers, HL is not carrying anything related to Jewish Holidays/celebrations. HL is perfectly happy to take money from Jewish customers for all the things they carry, they just do not carry Jewish specific items in lines that they otherwise handle (thus you can get 1st communion cards, but not Bar/Bat Mitzvah cards or Easter banners but not Rosh Hashanah banners).

Thus for clarity here: they are making clear by what they stock and do not stock in materials Hallmark and other companies have no problem with that they will sell to Jews since they have to but they will avoid as much as possible carrying things that might draw Jews in specifically. I.E. they are so-called xtians and the jew - hating type. I am not dumb enough to be xtian (logic is a powerful and wonderful thing) nor am I Jewish.(note, why do I capitalize one and not the other(?) - because one likes to try to force everyone to follow it's tenets/rules and worship while the Other doesn't - you actually have to work very hard to become Jewish, xtians used to threaten/torture you into it - and still do in some places. Thus I can respect Judaism, but not xtianity while believing in neither.

You haven't actually shown any evidence of that. All you've found is that one employee of HL is an idiot.

My sincere apologies!!! To show they are not really anti Jewish they now carry a whole 15 cheap items for Hannukah/Jewish persons to buy. Damn white of them I say!!!

You claimed they carried none at all. How big a variety should they carry for a group which represents 2% of the population and is concentrated in discrete areas?

eta: I found just 9 Hanukkah items on Walmart's web site, and they are much, much bigger than HL.

I despise Hobby Lobby and their policies,but agree that there is not enough evidence that they are Anti Semitic.

If I opened a store it wouldn't occur to me to seek out Jewish holiday stuff, though Christmas stuff, sure. Most likely I would rely on the distributor of the Christmas stuff to suggest other religions' stuff, which they'd probably distribute, too.

It might be a little ignorant of me, but not born out of malice.

I would reject Kwanzaa stuff, though, because it is transparently part of a fifth column communist infiltration.

Why should HL be expected to carry Jewish holiday items or any other non-Christian holiday items in its stores? Retail items are place in stores for their potential sales.
