I honestly think the wheels are coming off Yummi. But this could mean the Rudy confirmation, or the Hellmann annulment. Considering the next report is the final judicial report, and neither A or R can be holding the knife, it must be Yummi believes that the final truth is SODDI.
Actually asking to sit down or Skype with Gill might be helpful. That is quite a good idea.
One of the interesting things is that usually for a serious crime like this the UK police would provide a liaison officer, and monitor the investigation. I suspect the Metropolitan Police - London Police Force - not to be confused with the City of London Police, (Croydon her home town was in the Met area) felt that once Guede was convicted there was no issue.
Sorry, SODDI? What's that mean?
I think some posts by some people (not you) lack common sense.
Some Other Dude Did It. I should have been specific because I was puzzled when I started posting by abbreviations, until I found they all respond to googling.Sorry, SODDI? What's that mean?

I will ask his permission.Randy's in top form.
Are you able to share the link to Randy's FB page?
Brilliant. I'm going to start attaching the words "wrongfully accused" to Amanda's and Raffaele's names every time I mention them. Their names need to become shorthand for "severe cronyism and corruption" that was aimed at "trying to get clearly innocent persons locked away."
Wrongfully accused Italian software engineer Raffaele Sollecito will be making a public statement tomorrow. Wrongfully accused journalist Amanda Knox has recently announced her engagement. Etc.
A rare occasion when the word "awesome" is actually appropriate!
I will ask his permission.
Randy is a class act. Shame we lost him from here.
"Forgive Amanda"? Was this a typo? They were the ones trying to destroy her life!

"Seven and a half years after the murder of Ms Kercher in Perugia, and a number of legal proceedings, Franceso Maresca, the lawyer representing the Kerchers, said yesterday: “The family is in shock after the verdict. They don’t wish to make any other declarations. I’ve had to explain to them there are now no avenues open to them. There is a great sense of bitterness.”"
Sure there are:
1) Demand all the evidence in the cases is released.
2) Sit down with Peter Gill and let him explain the forensic evidence from the complete case file.
3) Insist on an independent review of the conduct of the case.
After all, they've always wanted to know the truth.
Sure they were, but probably not the present or future officials. Keep in mind for example, that enrollment from foreign students is down considerably in Perugia and locals attribute it to the case and how it has been portrayed by the media.
At some time, it would be fantastic PR for them to invite Amanda back. It all depends on who's running the show. If their ties and loyalties are to Mignini and his cabal...then there is no chance. But if those ties are severed and people move on and realize that this stain will never disappear without a sincere "mea culpa" it will happen.
But on the other hand, I old be wrong.
What the motivations report says about multiple attackers is one of the most fascinating issues. And it will have implications.
Unless he got paid. Not a joke. If a deal could be structured so Rudy wouldn't face additional charges, and Biscotti could get his filthy palms greased, that's a deal I could see happening.
I still say Rudy confessing to the media, in exchange for money being paid to the Kerchers, is just win-win-win.

4. Fire their idiot lawyer and get a good one.
Two things, in connection with this:
1) Seattle is twinned with Perugia
2) As we know, between the murder and the final interrogations, the Mayor of Perugia extended to Amanda and her mother the use of a flat in the town.
I wonder what they all really think of Mignini there.
I think it will be quite easy and proper for this court to say "we don't care what some other court said in some other case. It was incumbent on this prosecution to prove that there were multiple attackers and they didn't do that. In fact, the evidence strongly suggests just one guy."
This would be fully consistent with the law everywhere, in particular, under the echr. Hellmann got this one right; chieffi blew it.
This is where the ECHR could help, if the Kerchers lodge a claim against Italy of a violation of Convention Article 2, failure to conduct an effective investigation of a murder. Of course, they should consider getting a lawyer not tied to the Italian police and prosecution, so as to avoid a possible conflict of interest.
