..and we are still waiting for the one hour countdown the court said they would give.

Well, I would imagine thar they make that announcement after they have decided and have a general idea of what the would want to say in their brief summary of their decision. But I have to wonder how this court functions. I never imagine that the verbal presentations are all that persuasive. That each judge has read through the appeal documents. But I wonder do the judges discuss the case to each other prior to court date? I know for example that US Supreme Court justices discuss each case with each other ...but our court is an entirely different animal.

This is torture. It must be thousands of times worse for Amanda and Raffaele.

Italy is a civil (code) law country, so they supposedly do not have precedent.

They are also supposedly an adversarial court system country (required by ECHR) but act often like they're still an inquisitorial system.

The Cassazione has precedents, the other courts have not.
The set of "Supreme Court precedents" + "Doctrine" is called "jurisprudence".

Constitutional law is a separate matter.

There was a lot of delay before the Hellmann verdict also. Not saying there is any equivalence, but I had the impression it was less around what the decision was, but how it was to be presented, and how to control events after. Maybe they are quibbling over wording in the announcement?

They have to establish legal arguments for each of the dozens reasons for recourse submitted by the defendants.

Aren't you tweeting to your emotional acolytes at PMF who've gone into lockdown? How's Jackie doing? Last time I looked, Popper called him an FOA lunatic because he was worried about Bruno's lack of certainty.

Coming soon! Italian Courts, The Board Game!

Was it Amanda, in the kitchen, with her hands over her ears? Or Rudy, on the toilet, with his ipod? Have fun with your friends! There are endless combinations! But be careful! To win the game, you will have to successfully spin the "motive wheel". And if you're not careful, the ISC can annul your verdict, and send you back to square one!

The pieces could be a bloody shoe, Knox's broom, the real knife, Vibrator, and a toilet.

Note: how I left out the semen stained pillow and computers to get the real effect.

Our tweeting resources leave something to be desired, though. For example, on Wednesday, Machiavelli tweeted triumphantly about how maresca was accusing C&V of misconduct. But, he "forgot" to mention how the judge then reamed out maresca and told him to file a complaint or shut up.

That is dishonest tweeting.

You really love to make up stuff and to throw false accusations.
I never "triumphally" tweeted on such topic, IIRC didn't tweet on the topic at all. I only re-tweeted a tweet from Kristeva.

They are trying to fool all of the people all of the time.
The impossible may take a little while.

What about Maresca being torn a new one for accusing CandV of fraud? Why wasn't this reported amongst your group? Do you guys just hear what you want to hear and disregard the rest?

No. I am cooking carpaccio with rucola, an egg pie with zucchini and parmigiano, and an aperitif of olives with chili peppers and spiced artichokes. I will have half a bottle of a dark wine from Monferrato.

What happened? Press pass not valid for today huh?

@ Mach, Well did Maresca get warned by the Judge or not, since you were there. Any predictions ? These Judges aren't Masons are they ?

Actually I was not there when Maresca talked. So I can't tell.

Oh, I see. You re-tweeted a tweet. That changes everything.

Anyway, we're more interested in the Maresca smack down. What did Maresca say when the judge told him to file a complaint or shut his pie hole?

You need a Big Mac with a large fries. Then you will begin to see things clearly.

:D

That sounds very nice. I recommend a double Makers Mark before dinner.
