Well, well, well, we've gone into extra innings, haven't we? I thought it was just a clerical function to confirm Noncini.

It's a novel form of detective fiction, Doug. Take a set of 'facts' (ahem) and then arrange them into a story and publish! :) But with real victims.

By the way, the court gives a 1 hour warning before announcing the verdict, so should be easy to know when its coming.

Coming soon! Italian Courts, The Board Game!

Was it Amanda, in the kitchen, with her hands over her ears? Or Rudy, on the toilet, with his ipod? Have fun with your friends! There are endless combinations! But be careful! To win the game, you will have to successfully spin the "motive wheel". And if you're not careful, the ISC can annul your verdict, and send you back to square one!

Is it laid out in a circle, and there's really no way the game ever has to end?

It was the same **** when Nencini veredict came out. I think they're just discussing wether to reduce Amanda's sentence by 3 months or not, as requested by the prosecutor.

No one has a Monopoly on board games

There was an Amanda Knox Board Game. However, I think it was intended as a piece of art.

PMF.org appears to have locked guests out of the forum.

Some of them were getting very emotional before, almost begging for confirmation.

With the hundreds of appeal docs from both defence counsel have this ISC panel had sight of them before proceedings started on Wednesday?

It's the same as last time the ISC ruled (Chieffi). But, that court overruled the lower court.

Well, it is 7 pm there right now. I have to wonder about the average time it takes the ISC to render a decision? Is this an inordinate amount of time for deliberations or average? Also, how long has it been since the began their deliberations?

..and we are still waiting for the one hour countdown the court said they would give.

Do the judges get paid for overtime?

It's really weird. My experience of appeals is the judges have usually made their minds up already. It's just possible they might be swayed by oral submissions but it's mostly pretty clear which way the wind is blowing. They might have a few points they want cleared up in their own minds but not in a game-changing way. So what the heck are they doing?

Maybe they are at the start of an overnight interrogation by police.

We'll find out tomorrow what they have confessed to.

There was a lot of delay before the Hellmann verdict also. Not saying there is any equivalence, but I had the impression it was less around what the decision was, but how it was to be presented, and how to control events after. Maybe they are quibbling over wording in the announcement?
