Read the documents that we've been asking you to read. I'll meet you halfway when you demonstrate something other than trying to derail the thread.

So if I repost the relevant section of the 2015 RS appeal addendum you will agree that 2012 predates 2015.
Seems unnecessary but not overly onerous.

Deal?

I wish you'd be serious. What Raffaele says in his addendum is what he's said since 2012, when he first spoke publicly (through his book). It's been unchanged since. In 2012, he related what had happened at interrogation. Nothing he has said, ever, is at variance with it.

It's explained in his book (as I've posted, twice in summary), it's explained in his main appeals document.

You, however, apparently, can do whatever you like. Good for you.

No I’m afraid that argument doesn’t hold.
Magical thinking and CT delusions drive the ‘evolution debate’ and the ‘Truther’ arguments.
The mere existence of these arguments doesn’t validate them. The same could apply (actually does apply) here.

Do you see.

Unless of course 'an ideal world' means that 'purty white girls' can get away with murder.

Ad hominem.

I know how hard it is for people to remember exact dates and times. . . . .An issue I have is do cops really believe you should or are they just playing a game?

There I lies a quandary. The police many times become focused on catching the criminal that they take this position that their job is to get a conviction as opposed to finding the truth.

maybe its all about nothing?
Rudy Guede the real rapist , murderer is being released and has day-outs already.
I can imagine even if convicted they will release them soon, after having a "pat yourself on the back Guiltard party for Corrupt Cops"....
Amanda probably wont ever see Italy again.....I doubt she'll miss that.
So Raffaele maybe if he returns to prison, then signs a document saying he was wrong and the corrupt cops are god...they will release him early and Migninni can go find his next Fake Satanic Sex Orgy media case.

" Gennaro Francione is a retired judge and a VERY wise man. In this interview, he mentioned the Kercher case and the fact that R & A (although he didn't mention their names) spent 4 years behind bars. He said that these judges are very much in a hurry to find the 'guilty' person and incarcerate the closest person they find, often a relative of the victim, without any solid, concrete proof of guilt, only through some light evidence. There are a few such cases, right now, in Italy. He clearly said that once they throw someone in jail it becomes a difficult situation because they will do anything possible not to admit having made a mistake, and will try to save their butts at all costs; this is a terrible thing and a pathological system! He said that the system doesn't need to be 'changed' as in ‘modified’ because when you try to 'change’ something like this, nothing ever happens; the system needs to be totally revolutionized. It's a very, very good interview and I respect him very much. Too bad he's retired but, now that he is retired, he is free to openly criticize the current justice system and do something about it. Let us hope that with the cooperation of like-wise people, he will be successful. And, let us hope that there will be justice for Raffaele and Amanda. Raffaele is on the forefront of this nightmare right now, and my heart goes out to him and his family. Let’s hope all will be well, they were found innocent once and it will happen again. LET’S KEEP THE FAITH."

That is what I am afraid happens where the police can say "Look, we caught the slime ball"

It appears to be in Italian, Bill, is there a translation?

Are you sure Rudy has days out? I thought that was ruled not so by the court recently.

I have not understood the animosity against Mignini. I don't believe he is anything most on this forum state he is and sometimes I don't think you all (collectively) do either.

Does Mignini understand the power of suggestive questioning or is he just stupid?

According to the press as of February 2014, Rudy was eligible for day release.

http://www.cbsnews.com/news/convicted-killer-in-amanda-knox-case-eligible-for-daily-prison-release/

At the time, it was claimed that Rudy had not applied to use that privilege as he was concerned what would happen if somebody recognized him.

ETA: This appears to reference the court rejecting Rudy's request for day release: http://corrieredellumbria.corr.it/n...-Meredith--niente-liberazione-anticipata.html

Also, Rudy's additional conviction for receiving stolen goods by a Milan court in April 2014 may have played a part in Rudy's day release request being rejected.

I believe that Mignini will do anything to further his career. Hence, the conviction of innocent people doesn't faze him . . . .

I think the best thought experiment is to imagine him prosecuting your (real or hypothetical) daughter. Would you have any concerns? Remember he has jailed and been forced to release at least 23 citizens.

I think Mignini is a very unusual person, an unusual prosecutor, and an usual criminal.

I believe he intentionally framed two people he knew to be innocent, then convinced himself simultaneously that he was acting justly.

I think Mignini is both a psychotic madman, and a corrupt public servant. He could serve 10 lifetimes in prison, and still not have paid his debt to society.

He abused his office, he abused his trust, he abused scores of innocent people. And he continues to lie regularly to the media, hoping to further the injustices he has committed.

Mignini is no different from a kidnapping sex criminal, and belongs in prison.

I don't know how many others here share my views, but you did ask.

Mignini's blunders were in no way honest mistakes, imo. Lying, sadistic, narcissistic criminal madman. Can't say I'm a fan.

chistianahanna,

In reference to your comments about Mignini, I am not sure which posters on the forum you are referring to as "you all (collectively)". It would be fair to say that many posters, at least on the innocence side, are aware that Mignini was prosecuted in Italy for abuse of power, was convicted of this crime, and then the case was cancelled (if that is the right term) due to procedural time limits. I personally believe that this is an illustration of the use of procedural time limits to shelter officials who commit misconduct from accountability.

I would not be able to adequately and politely characterize my own opinion of Mignini and the enabling officials in the Italian police and judicial system who have carried out this intentional vicious miscarriage of justice on two innocent young people.

It stems from the fact that he convicted two innocent young people of carrying out what was in essence his own twisted sexual fantasy.

He's demented.
Good to see you post, that username, though spelling dodgy, always makes me think kiwi, though I suppose it is a feather used for writing.
Leila Schnepps is a maths professor, an interesting guilter. Have you ever read what she writes on PMF under the name thoughtful?
