Nixon's situation had a whistleblower, is that the case here? So everyone is acting in support of Hillary\Obama, and the Repubs are currently the white knights here? Is that what you're claiming? I mean, the comparison between Watergate and this email scandal is.....it's not even apples to oranges. It's...tangerines to...I don't know, chickens? One was blatant treason on the highest of levels, this is just partisan nonsense.

Treason? Do you even know what Watergate was about? I'll wait while you look it up on Wikipedia. While you're at it, ruminate on what would have happened if Nixon hadn't agreed to the appointment of a special prosecutor, and instead insisted that his own DOJ handle the investigation (as the Obama administration has done so many times). Or if Republicans in Congress had supported Nixon's claims to executive privilege when the special prosecutor subpoenaed the White House tapes. Hell, if Nixon had simply destroyed the tapes (just as Hillary destroyed her emails), he would have easily survived any impeachment effort.

I think it's pathetic that all of these investigations haven't found the email address previously. It's so pathetic that I feel it may be planned. It goes to show that the previous committees were not only useless but poorly planned and poorly run. You can say that it's all a cover up by the media and the President, but I don't buy it.

You actually think that the Republicans knew that Hillary used a private email address for 100% of her official work? I think you're giving them way too much credit, and not enough to Hillary and her minions.

<snip>

You mean like all of the previous instances of events similar to this have happened in previous administrations that have apparently taught this one? Interesting outlook.

I actually thought that we had reached a point in American politics where it was better to admit mistakes right away than to try to deny them and drag things out. The public is very forgiving of mistakes actually, but not so forgiving of lying to cover up mistakes. I think Democrats, though, are becoming increasingly tempted to brazen stuff out because of the support of the mainstream media. I would like that to change.

We have common ground. I agree completely until

you go off on the partisan crazy train of liberal media crap.

1. your three minutes per email is ridiculously high.

Because you say so ?

What is the formula to use for determining the average amount of time to carefully review an email to make sure it mightn't inadvertently mention something work related.

2. to do a large scale document review, you hire a law firm with lots of baby lawyers to review every single scrap of paper.

You mean to say only a lawyer can determine what is work related and what is not ? Hey, Hillary is a lawyer, maybe she could just do it !

3. can you imagine going in before a federal judge and telling her that you destroyed over half the documents that the other side was seeking? No of course you can't because that would be criminally insane. Yet that is what Hillary just did.

Your lack of imagination is not a valid argument.

Wouldn't the fact that NOBODY got an email from hillary@state.gov be a giant clue ????

This is the elephant in the room no one addresses. Clearly she sent thirty-thousand plus emails from @clintonemails.com, and ZERO from@state.gov, yet nobody knew she was using that email address ?

For years, nobody thought it was important enough that the secretary of state was using a rogue homebrew cowboy server to check its security, until now ?

********.

Because Hillary's team changed their story over the weekend. The initial fact sheet sent out after Hillary's press conference explained that the emails were reviewed using automated search methods. There was no mention of a manual review.

That seems reasonable.

Wait, you pulled 3 minutes out of your behind, and now are questioning me?

I never said "only a lawyer" can do it, but I know you can hire a team of lawyers who can do it, who do it all the time, who can do it in way less time than you seem to believe it would take, and when they do it, the client can point to the team of lawyers and say "I had a team of lawyers look at every single page of documents."

It isn't lack of imagination, it is that I am not a sociopathic megalomaniac like Hillary and Bill.

Yet, you seem untroubled by the fact that Hillary did not tell anyone that she exclusively used a cowboy homebrew server that she kept in a closet down the hall from Bill's man cave??

Ok.

Wait, you pulled 3 minutes out of your behind, and now are questioning me?

That's correct, why the eye roll ?

Three minutes seemed reasonable to me for an average.

You said I am wrong, and I'm being properly skeptical and am asking you to provide information.

It seems the difference between us is I am willing to admit I pulled that number out of my ass, and you aren't.

Again, she's already a lawyer, so why bother ?

It isn't lack of imagination, it is that I am not a sociopathic megalomaniac like Hillary and Bill.

Whatever it is, it isn't a valid argument.

Ok.

Your fallacy is red herring.

Why are you still avoiding explaining the elephant in the room ?

So, you pulled the number out of your ass, and claim you are being skeptical?

Hillary is a "lawyer" Hillary is not a team of lawyers... you cottoning on to the "TEAM" concept yet?

Here is an article regarding EXACTLY what i am talking about. Enjoy it

Your fallacy is red herring.

Why are you still avoiding explaining the elephant in the room ?

LOLZ! Yeah, no.

Hillary sets up cowboy server
People issue FOIA and subpoenas
Hillary does not produce documents from cowboy server
time goes by...
Hillary admits she has a cowboy server.
people are incensed that she breached her duty to produce responsive documents
Hillary: should have discovered my cowboy server which i never mentioned before earlier!
people; facepalm.

So, you pulled the number out of your ass, and claim you are being skeptical?
Rule of "so"...

Are you going to provide evidence for your claim that my estimate of 3 minutes is way off, or just keep ignoring it ?

Hillary is a "lawyer" Hillary is not a team of lawyers... you cottoning on to the "TEAM" concept yet?

Yes, but that doesn't answer the question of why a team is necessary.

No, it's not.

While all this barracks lawyering might be fascinating what I wanna know is has Eric Hoteham been identified yet?

I am willing to admit I pulled that number out of my ass, and you aren't.

It is not a rule of so when you admit that you pulled the number out of your ass, nor do i need evidence that the number you pulled out of your ass is a number you pulled out of your ass.

Good question, a "team" is NOT necessary, not at all!

Hillary could have and should have turned all of the emails over to the State Department. That is an EXCELLENT point!!!

Here:

http://www.politico.com/story/2015/03/hillary-clinton-email-eric-hothem-115764.html

The mystery man linked to Hillary Clinton’s personal email account appears to be a Washington, D.C., stockbroker and former aide to the Clintons who played a walk-on role in controversies that dogged the former first family soon after they left the White House in 2001.

The initial Associated Press report Wednesday about Hillary Clinton’s use as secretary of state of a personal e-mail server installed in her home in Chappaqua, N.Y., traced the creation of the system to a man named Eric Hoteham. There’s virtually no trace of an individual by that name in public records or other online databases.

However, a Clinton aide named Eric Hothem was linked to a flap in 2001 about the Clintons’ shipment of furniture and other items from the White House at the end of President Bill Clinton’s second term.

I suppose ti could be him. I don't know that it matters so much at this point.
