Merged Bigfoot follies

That Barnes guy is basically a Biscardi without the reputation. He's going for a big money grab by suckering fools. Meldrum will easily partner with him because Barnes doesn't yet have an established reputation as a hoaxer. If this project ever does happen he will become the new hoaxer-scammer of Bigfootery.

Even if the blimp never flies Barnes may pocket more than $100K for his accrued time and consultation. If I were him I'd be billing the project at $100/hr for my time and that started way back on Day 1.

See, I understand Barnes' angle. He's operating as the FNG in this situation, and no one knows him. But the Meldrum thing . . . again, I understand the remuneration thing, and the adulation thing to an extent. But the kudos and chest-thump respect is coming from the silliest people imaginable. Just take a look at the first five threads over at the BFF (or any other crypto-cult site) and imagine these folks approaching you at some sort of convention or speaking engagement. It has to be frightening, and you have to smile and listen to their "ideas" and "theories", nodding wisely, giving advice, hoping that the buffet at the Holiday Inn Express has some good rice pudding.

Does Meldrum have any peer respect? Doubtful, just that emanating from the fringiest fringe in fringe belief. The money had better be good, the showers long and hot.

This level of abuse of our English language should be punished somehow. I want to make that guy's children diagram the sentence for him.
 
Your professional career is safe even if you announce that you are a Bigfooter. Attacking a Bigfoot believer is like attacking a God believer. The attacker is more likely to suffer than the believer.

I believe there's a Phyics Prof at ISU that tunes Meldrum up occasionally.
 
This may sound hard to believe, but I think the Bigfoot community may actually be starting to wise up after being burned countless times. Hoaxes like the Ketchum DNA project which crush the dreams of hopeful footers take their toll. Going through the last NAWAC thread on the BFF, I saw that BB was driven off the forum after not showing evidence for his claim of Bigfoot breaking a 24 inch diameter tree by swinging near the top. Not that he's lying or anything, but it's good to see that Bigfooters are finally getting fed up with that sort of thing. Perhaps there's hope for Bigfootery.
 
Cervelo, is that a bigfoot beater shirt in the photo you posted? It would only stand to reason......

More footie footage? Tracking movements (bowel?). Audio? Given the audio I've listened to from footers, these genuises can't tell the difference between bobcats, foxes, or screaming goats. Scientific study? Repeatable? Who they crappin'?
