Bigfoot's metabolism is so efficient that his scat is almost non existent./BB off
Interesting theory. Actually the Bigfoot is a master mimic, they have evolved tremendous sphincter control and are able to imitate the scat of other animals. /BB off

Also in northern California they are known to wear a large furry diaper, and probably dispose of them in a secret location.

Just me and I won't claim it LOL.....but no doubt when your poop cast a shadow, I'll yield the trail to ya!
I don't know what time of year that pic was taken but when bears come out of hibernation they have massive bowel movements, or so I'm told.

Told by whom? There is interesting science behind digestion in bears during hibernation. They do not defecate for extended periods while inside the hibernation den. The first defecation after emerging from hibernation is not notably large. What is notable is that the feces will contain much hair and den bedding material (plant matter). The poop in the photo is certainly not from a bear emerging from hibernation and we don't need to know when the photo was taken to deduce that.

Consider this information as another "so I am told".

During 5-7 months in dens, bears accumulate feces in the lower 7-15 inches of the intestine to form a "plug" 1½ to 2½ inches in diameter

I would be impressed by a 15 x 2.5 inch turd, and I've seen a lot of human poop in my career.

Since we're discussing poops any thoughts on what made this?
This was in the middle of a trail in The Great Dismal Swamp.

It's too much volume for a dog, even for a St Bernard. It doesn't have the consistency for a horse or cow. The volume and consistency are within range for a black bear. Animals with short digestive tracts like canines and felines don't have that much volume. Bears have a much longer digestive tract because of their omnivorous diet. The volume and consistency of their scat depends on what they've been eating. And, there are lots of black bear in the Dismal Swamp National Wildlife Refuge.

That turd just looks big, compare the glove to the specimen. It's not much bigger than the palm of the glove. It looks huge because it's all zoomed and in your face. Forget about the late day shadow; imagine your hand is the glove and you will see it's within the capability of a dog. The uniform consistency also indicates the donor eats only one thing, such as dog food. Any other animal and there would be something else mixed in.

There are what appear to be some longitudinal striations. Any chance this could be a bear that had been grazing on sedges? That could explain the even consistency.

Bigfoot V Bison in Yellowstone. Analyzed by ThinkerThunker.

Not ThinkThunking much if he thinks footie is operating in the fourth most visited, most recreated, most studied wilderness park in the U.S.

ETA: Why does he call it Yosemite?
